Re: Kozilek 1.0 - How to Lose Friends and Annihilate People
Void Mirror isn't something I particularly like the look of. Makes Chromatic Lantern that bit better but I don't think its gonna see too much commander play. Yeah, I wouldn't personally expect it, either, at least not teched against colorless. Not many folks running colorless, and it's too easy to ...

Re: Zedruu the Greatest of All Time
I think I learned today that there are times when you shouldn't put Mindmoil out. Nekusar? That definitely qualifies. I had put it out there in a game last night just to see what would happen since I'd never used it before. But I didn't have any flash and started off going through 20 cards at a tim...

Re: Zedruu the Greatest of All Time
Also in a game last night, I had Banishing Knack in hand, drew Chrome Mox , and then drew Jeskai Ascendancy and didn't realize the combo. I was too focused on getting a second blue source so I could cast Kami of the Crescent Moon and Role Reversal . Irony being that I used Role Reversal to trade Kam...

Re: Zedruu the Greatest of All Time
This deck is straight-up madness and has the most convoluted combos I've seen. I had to read some of the above posts like 7/8 times to understand the triggers and the math. That's all I wanted to say. My respect for the Goat increases every time I see a new post here. The open-ended interplays betw...

Re: Zedruu the Greatest of All Time
Edit: also worth noting, that Time Spiral/Narset's Reversal I end the description with just, like, find a win condition. Having to manage hand size to deterministically draw 7 makes it way more complicated than that, and the likely solution is to cast permanent spells for each exiled card you want ...

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread
There are other communities out there to find games with besides PlayEDH. I've heard about their issues before and none of it as made me want to join. The Commander RC have their own discord server with LFG channels, one or more of the CAG do, as well as other Commander streamers/creators. Just depe...

Krishnath SocorroTortoise (didn't feel the need to quote) I haven't gotten on any lists myself yet and still need to eventually choose which card I would want, but I'm currently getting pieces together for a new gaming rig since the current one is quite dated. Although if I have to I'll use its GTX...

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread
It's been a headache trying to pick up a new graphics card. I'm interested in picking up an RTX 3080 and have been semi-regularly checking stores for at least a couple months now. I think there's been one time where they were even listed as in stock at a non-marked up price and they evaporated by t...

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Dualcaster Mage
In the 99, it's strictly better than Lutri, the Spellchaser . 3/2, hybrid mana. Pretty odd definition of 'strictly' you got there bruv. It's obviously good and comborrific. I like how this confirms my "any color can get flash if the card needs it to function properly" hypothesis. T...

Kind of helps to not feel like it's weird to mourn a pet. Definitely not weird if you consider them family. I already know I'm going to be an absolute mess when my dog passes. Speaking off offtopic chat, today my fiancé and I were looking through our wedding budget and my mind kept going. you could buy a copy of each dual for like 1/3rd of what this is going to costs.... Yeah, it's crazy how much money it's "normal" to spend on weddings. My partner and I did so...

I just played a game in low power with my High CMC Matters Golos, Tireless Pilgrim deck. I killed one of the players with Ancient Ooze and another with Mindshrieker . Then, the third player with Ancient Ooze and Mindshrieker . The all raged out of the game calling Golos a completely busted card. I ...

Re: Why Is Unfulfilled Desires Spiking?
I mean, Revised Bad Moon|3ED doesn't really have any business going up in price, either. The first section of this article kinda goes into why some non-RL cards also go up from buyouts. Basically, if it's old or RL and spikes, it's usually because of speculators/investors doing buyouts.

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Torgaar, Famine Incarnate
I run Torgaar in my Chainer deck since I use restrictions that prevent me from using Gary / Koko / Exsanguinate . Except Torgaar can be used to save somebody, too. He still ends up being a combo piece with Chainer for sustaining the life payment of a loop, but without ending the game himself. I've b...

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread
To be fair, there are a number of EDH players who actually take pride in not playing basics... I personally don't understand that mentality (I ramp... a lot.), as basics remain an incredibly powerful and important tool. On my end, I typically run about 14-20 basics per deck, at the least. Some (mon...
