Re: Kardur Deck Tech - When Is a Gift not a Gift?

I played few games where my final opponent killed the rest of the table while I was protected by Kardur. I would have win the game if I just had one more board wipe to remove his creatures. This made me think of Gix's Command - a good modular removal with other synergies with the deck. Returning 2 c...

Re: Queen Marchesa - Bow To Your Queen

Hi, I decided to share my decklist with upgrades from recent and upcoming editions. Notes: Separated the same way for easy comparison. Included a section "Tokens" since it's one of the themes and how the deck usually close up games. I play some fast mana but no combo or tutors. The core st...

Re: Kardur Deck Tech - When Is a Gift not a Gift?

Recently added and removed few cards so the deck now has a fresh and more polished look. Added: Ardent Elementalist - With 20 targets in the deck, it's pretty useful. You can copy and reanimate as well. Hunted Bonebrute - Another hunted creature, these are always useful with this strategy especially...

Re: Sefris of the Kind of Obvious Ways

You're right about Serra. Somnophage also probably not worth it but you can treat it as 4 mana creature with ETB that triggers Seffris (most of the time). Two new cards I'm goinng to test and seem good: Roaming Throne - Useful Just like other clone effect that can make 2nd copy of Seffris. The big a...

Recently Added: Nettling Nuisance - more creatures to give, more opponents to hurt. Spiteful Banditry - another mass removal + added treasure bonus when opponents creature die. And they are going to have creatures cause we are giving them. Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin - card draw + huge beater. Easy ...

Re: Sefris of the Kind of Obvious Ways

Few new additions from the recent sets: Likeness looter has been an amazing looter with graveyard copy ability. Not suitable for ETB but great for copying board state effects like Elesh Norn, Serra's Emissary , Toxrill, Doom Whisperer , Radiant Solar . Cruel Somnophage // Can't Wake Up The sorcery p...

Re: Sefris of the Kind of Obvious Ways

I was recently thinking for the following synergy: White Plume Adventurer + Shorikai, Genesis Engine At the beginning of each turn, if you have 8 power of creatures, you can tap them in response of Adventurer'a ability and animate Shorikai. Then you can use Shorikau to draw and finally untap all of ...

Re: Sefris of the Kind of Obvious Ways

Jirina, Dauntless General is a great addition I think. Especially with my strategy of maximising out sacrifice effects that protect Seffris. Other notable humans I play: Cathar Commando Rona, Herald of Invasion Thought Courier Loran of the Third Path Midnight Pathlighter Ertai Resurrected Yawgmoth,...

Re: Kardur Deck Tech - When Is a Gift not a Gift?

Kardur, Doomscourge is my favorite card to see out of my Kenrith, the Returned King deck - watching with interest. So you know how it feels like to reanimate Kardur over and over again. Imagine that when it's your commander, sometimes for the opponents it's worse to kill it rather than leave it in ...

Re: Kardur Deck Tech - When Is a Gift not a Gift?

Recently considering this card - Kothophed, Soul Hoarder I think it's very on theme, since I'm giving opponents a lot of tokens. It triggers on other permanents as well such as fetch lands or things that people wants to sacrifice. My only concern is the lost of life since some opponents can try to k...

Kardur Deck Tech - When Is a Gift not a Gift?

Kardur Gifts 1.0 All Kardur decklists tend to gravitate towards aristocrat strategy and the second Kardur ability. Well, my deck idea is to focus on the first ability and make the best combat phase there could be... well for me at least! :) Deck properties: No infinite combos or tutors Repeatable w...

Re: Sefris of the Kind of Obvious Ways

it looks to me like a lot of low value stuff that you don't necessarily want to sac just to trigger Sefris, since they are included to protect the commander, and then they don't provide a lot of value as reanimation targets. My experience is that once Sefris engine is online, it doesn't matter if y...

Re: Sefris of the Kind of Obvious Ways

I'm leaning away from infinites myself with the only one in the list being Reveillark + Karmic Guide + Viscera Seer, but I don't look for it, and each of the cards is excellent on its own here. I purposefully left these combos out of the deck although each piece is relevant for the overall strategy...

Re: Sefris of the Kind of Obvious Ways

Hey, I've been playing Sefris for the last year or so. It's my favourite deck to run so far and I keep updating and twitching it constantly to find the optimal list. I don't run any infinite combos and tutors (apart from Entomb) but have a great amount of removal and protection fro my board. I try t...
