Engineered explosives on a land is pretty decent, though coming in with a counter on it makes it tricky to use against token swarms. Still seems worth it in mono blue.

It feels outclassed by Golgari Charm.

It's really only good if you're making token copies of haymakers, but it is costed way too fairly for the same Commander year that slapped Dockside Extortionist on the table.

It's nice, but it's a super specific niche that Resi in Peace or Leyline of the Void does better. If you don't want opponents using the graveyard you typically want to stop reanimation which this does very little to stop.

Quick question to everyone: should they ban this, or would the hypothetical Banned as Commander be enough? I think the latter would be fine, for Korvold too. They are still strong, but less egregious.

Chulane still does a lot of work in Roon, and Korvold is so damn good in Windgrace.

So, yeah, I knew from day zero that the Eldraine commanders had the potential to be broken. Alela, Artful Provocateur and Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale are fine. Better in the 99 as it suffers from tax too much, but it will do work in K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. It really feels like a Mythic, so I'm glad it's at rare. Nothing like bringing him back on a Command the Dreadhorde.

Relevant creature type, and considering mama curves in EDH now the creature kill isn't too hard to abuse. Especially with All of Blacks mana increasers. I'd run it in Scarab God.

Not even worth playing anymore, IMO. There are so many better ways to draw cards.

White can still use it, but God it's expensive.

One of the big problems I have with cantripping answers (which I've complained about in the Phelddagrif primer) is that it doesn't cantrip until you actually use it. So if you're looking for draw, you're kinda motivated to just fire it off on whatever in order to keep digging into your deck. Which ...

Still decent in the format; he may be overshadowed but untapping lands as a plus is still very powerful if it's hitting Gaea's Cradle, Cradle of the Sun, or Cabal Coffers.

It's generally not as good as it seems. Most people have 1/1 tokens to sac to it, and more sac heavy decks have better things to spend six mana on at sorcery speed. The cost makes it too slow against Voltron too.

I'm still stunned that they thought Ludevic fit this card.

It's almost strictly worse than seedborn muse, but limiting it to your end step only and being an enchantment makes it more likely to stick.

Fun card as a commander, but not sure which decks want her in the 99. Definitely more suited for slower metals though.

Trap card that might draw way too much aggro.

It's a nice card, but spellslinger decks don't tend to have issues keeping their hands filled. It gets a lot better if you can utilize the artifact tokens for other things though, so keep your eye out.

Seems like a good finisher for superfriends, but the static ability seems weak in those decks. Dragon tribal doesn't want him at all though, Sarkhan, Fireblood or Sarkhan, Dragonsoul are the walkers you want in those decks. The latter is still mediocre unless you can ult him the same turn you drop h...

Zombies have gotten a lot of support over the years, they just need one commander to push them over the edge. I tend to stick with The Scarab God as it allows for more flexibility, but Wilhelt is a fine part of the 99.

This is a land cycle that could fit in a commander precon.

It's a card that gets better as your curve does. Some decks like Daxos the Returned really appreciate the mana being freed up for other things than casting spells, and those tend to be way harder to counter. If this sticks, watch out; the game is about to get dumb.
