Hot take, at least relative to some comment sections: I like what I've seen of Ikoria. The Godzilla promos are actually an interesting idea, too.

Standard should be powered down a bit in order to allow more fringe strategies, midrange decks and high-cmc cards to be more viable. I've been playing since 1995. This was around the time of Ice Age, though my group mostly used Fourth Edition to start. I didn't own a significant number of cards, though, until I had a reasonably-paying job many years later; that was around the time of Mirrodin.

I'm home. This set looks absolutely beautiful, and it's the perfect theme for my tastes. It's got a serious "Disney through a mirror darkly" vibe, and I wonder if they're actively working together.
