Re: Your favorite small things in a given set
When we visit old planes, I really like seeing throwbacks to old cards. I guess this also happens in masters/horizons sets too

Re: [official]card storage/sorting discussion
I'm debating reorganizing playable commons and uncommons, as I wanna weed through what I don't need anymore and need a better way to sort them. May by colour, format they see play in

Re: Dominaria United Commander Deck Speculation
I'd imagine "Legends Legacy" is some sort of legends matter/historic theme (as in the mechanic that cared about artifacts, sagas and legendary cards).

Re: Deck Power Level Thread
I feel that it's super tough judging decks by power level based on a 1-10 scale, mostly because people may view power differently and may not have been exposed to cEDH levels of power. It's also hard without some form of base level that a group agrees upon. That being said, this thread can help me o...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/13/2020)
Prismatic ending is a good card. It even made some people in our uw deck in salvation.. start using raugrin triome to make prismatic ending better in their deck. I feel that's a pretty common thing as it's pretty free to do. I played an RCQ at the Face to Face Toronto store last weekend, played aga...

Re: TCGPlayer to acquire ChannelFireball
I used to like CFB a lot before they went to marketplace. But marketplace made it harder to shop to Canada as vendors would want more to ship to Canada. I'm interested to see how this impacts the market as a whole though

Re: [Placeholder] Primer - UR Delver
went 2-3 at a small legacy 1k last weekend. Not sure if I played well or if its a lack of experience playing legacy. here's my report round 1 I quickly lose to 8cast 0-2. Game 1 he got t1 chalice on the play, which I didn't have the force for. I tried to just dump cantrips into the gy to go for quic...

I feel that's the only time I really look at lists anymore tbh, when I wanna build a commander, I'll use existing lists as a place to start

Re: Don’t play wraths. Or is the casual crowd going too far?
I haven't played with many of my old groups since covid, but I haven't met anyone with this view on wraths yet. I feel that every deck should run at least 3-5 wraths

Re: Official favourite parts of playing Magic thread
I feel that covid keeping large gatherings apart for so long really made people miss the social aspect of magic. Which is something that playing online can't give you. Yeah playing online is pretty convenient in terms of playing whenever and not needing to leave your house, but I really enjoy the pa...

Re: Your thoughts on decklist and resource discussion?
I have a hard time sharing decklists for commander as a format now. Mostly because I feel like that since commander can be played in so many different ways/power levels, it's hard to match the power level you want. another part I like about commander is building decks my own way, rather than just bu...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/13/2020)
I haven't played a competitive modern event in maybe 2 months because I had to take time off for a course for work. I haven't really seen much 4c piles in my meta, which makes me happy because I found playing against that miserable. I've maybe only played 1 or 2 FNM since May though

Re: Official favourite parts of playing Magic thread
I play it mainly as something to get lost in. Between all of the cards, decks, formats, interactions, rules and lore there seems to be no shortage of information to absorb and digest. I also collect old/rare/misprinted cards and use it as a medium through which to meet people face-to-face. It's a c...

I decided to build a different take on the deck than what I previously had together. Re: [Official] State of Pioneer Thread (B&R 12/16/2019)
I feel that Deathrite Shaman , Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time are all fine in pioneer but that's probably because much less options for fetches. vs modern makes them more powerful

Re: [Official] State of Pioneer Thread (B&R 12/16/2019)
now that we know what we know about pioneer as a pt format, I'm not surprised they banned Lurrus, as there will be more people playing the format. so people will be trying to break the format again

played a 1K yesterday, played Murktide to 9th/36, with prizing to top 8. round 1 opponent no showed. to my understanding staff let them sign up as they were running late, they just made it after the 10 minutes allowed in a round for round 1 round 2 I beat UR prowess 2-1. He said this was his first m...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/13/2020)
the amulet loss was a bit of a weird one and tight play on their end. I had a scalding tarn and spirebluff canal untapped. I knew about a summoner's pact but sacrificed my tarn to fetch and he cast pact in response to avoid the counter. he had cavern in play so no countering titan. I cast blood moon...
