Thanks for being patient, my friend! The Primer has been completed and is now ready for action!

I'm excited to see what Eldraine will bring in regards to Kaalia targets. Nothing from the C19 spoilers has caught my interest yet, but anything can change.

I'll chime in and offer up my own Yawgmoth Primer as an example of how I would build Yawgmoth. Link is in my signature.

Re: [C19] Thieving Amalgam

I see this as an Ophiomancer with upside and a relevant body. That CMC is pretty expensive though, so I'd be leery of straight adding it in to any deck. It's a great Token Generator that can randomly pull some sweet creatures into play. It's the dying trigger that I think is interesting for Yawgmoth...

Cool deck idea! Is Hermit Druid really that necessary for your deck? It seems a nice way to do nothing.

Re: Geth: suicide control

Mindcrank was one of the first cards I would tutor for when Geth helmed my mono-Black Commander deck. Why not here? It seems particularly powerful with Pestilence type of effects.

Also, Voltaic Key should be in here because it helps untap the Monoliths and Vault so that you can use your colorless mana even more efficiently.

Re: Adeliz: Beatdown Basics

This looks like a ton of fun, honestly. I assume the lack of Counterspells is intentional? Otherwise, I'd recommend at least a few so that you can protect some of your key spells. Also, it might not be a bad idea to look for Earthquake effects to help shorten your clock while also offering some Boar...

Re: Yawgmoth, Father of Machines: Suicide Mono-Black Control

toctheyounger Yeah, Geth is a decent mana sink in the late game that accrues Card Advantage. Honestly, you could substitute him in for many other things and not really miss him at all. Yawgmoth does a ton of work by himself in generating Card Advantage, so Geth's ability is nice b...

Re: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth Questions

What is the ruling for K'rrik when used with Drain Life, Consume Spirit, and Soul Burn? I'm assuming that the restrictions of the cards don't actually change the mana symbols on them, but I want to confirm it explicitly.

Re: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth - Phyrexian Thug Life

Much appreciation for this list. I'm not sure why WOTC felt that making a card that turns all mana into Phyrexian mana was a good idea, but they did. Mono-Black storm is definitely the way to build K'rrik and I'm interested to see where this list goes.

Re: Yawgmoth, Father of Machines: Suicide Mono-Black Control

It is the clear the the Grand Evolution is moving forward. Someone within the WOTC Development team has received Phyrexia's blessing and brings forth its glory! In all seriousness, K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth is a VERY powerful card. Anything that shortcuts mana costs is dangerously powerful, as WOTC ha...

Oooh, I look forward to this. Suicide MBC + Vorthos FTW. I'm glad. I've wanted Yawgmoth for so long and I can't wait to complete this Primer. I'm hoping that I will finish today! Thanks for a Vorthos inspired primer for Yawgmoth! I really enjoyed the character information and breakdowns. I was also...

Re: Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim: What Is Dead May Never Die

I just realized that Yawgmoth, Thran Physician isn't listed in your deck. This seems like a pretty large omission, considering that Yawgmoth does almost everything this deck would want a sac outlet to do.

Re: Turbo Sliver - unleash the swarm by turn 2-4

Slow clap from this guy!

Excellent idea. I am no Sliver afficianado, but is there a Hulk pile that really bursts P/T stats? Like a package that has Might Sliver variants? Sliver Legion is great for this; is there a way to safely clone it with a Hulk pile like Spark Double?

I can confidently assure you that cutting Bojuka Bog without a Crop Rotation or heavy graveyard meta is a decent call. Not the best, because 'yard hate is always important, but decent. Nature's Claim is an excellent substitution. I approve. Don't forget about the newly printed Generous Gift if you w...

Re: ELD- Eldraine story and plane

I'm meh about any storyline that Wizards decides to do anymore. After the disastrous travesty that was War of the Spark, I've lost ALL respect for WOTC as storytellers. Make me cool cards, like Yawgmoth and Urza, but as far as being emotionally invested into the characters... I'm out. The fact that ...

I never got into these. I tried the first and it was just a bit too cute for me. Sort of read like a Sookie Stackhouse novel, which isn't the worst thing ever, but I found it a little disappointing. Maybe they get better though. For now Joe Abercrombie is my jam, on the last book of the First Law t...

Re: Tymna & Sidar (Abzan Razakats)

I think you could actually trim some lands from your list and perhaps a slightly bigger Reanimator package. Survival of the Fittest is the last tutor effect you're missing from the list (which is due to budget constraints I assume). You're already running the best Abzan fatties, but I'd STRONGLY sug...

Agreed on Esper colors. If he's an alcoholic investigator then Grixis could be a fun way to represent his alcoholism since he loses his cool when jonesing.

In regards to Iona, I will say that it's made playing a mono-Colored deck against my wife's Kaalia deck WAY less painful, so I've got some positive feedback on that aspect.

Still going to run them in my colored decks. Fixing for colors is too important to entirely forgo from any type of 2+ color deck in my opinion.
