Re: RULES UPDATE - Death Triggers on Commanders
OP updated with further explanation from Toby. They act like tokens, going to the graveyard but as a state based effect going to the command zone (if you choose to put them there). Tp trigger goes on the stack but no way to interact with them while in the graveyard. So, Syr Konrad will trigger twic...

Re: RULES UPDATE - Death Triggers on Commanders
Soo... Syr Konrad, the Grim will trigger twice now, correct? Once when the Commander hits the graveyard and again when you decide to move him to the Command Zone. Me likey.

Re: A Take on Titan - No Escape from 12-Rack (Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger)
Oh boy! Rules change and Kroxa seems to profit from it, if it works how I hope it will. Now, whenever I decide to put Kroxa back into the Command Zone, when he dies, Liliana, Heretical Healer and Syr Konrad, the Grim will still trigger. And Syr Konrad will trigger twice then! Awesome! Next up is the...

Re: Unreleased and New Card Discussion
I still want to point out that I hate Teferi, Master of Time . Yes, the leaks stated he would start at 5 loyalty, but 3 isn't really making him any worse in EDH. He still needs less than 2 full turn cycles until you can ult him. It shouldn't be too difficult to get him out turn 2/3 (with more expens...

In green, it's quite often that I can ramp on turn 1. But even turn 2 is still good enough for casual games, isn't it?

Re: June 1 2020 rules changes
It really will push it into unplayable territory. There's a wide gulf of wanting to play Horde of Notions Elemental Tribal and feeling like you get kind of a 'bonus' general with Jegantha for 5, and having a bonus 'general' with Jegantha for 8 . But it doesn't cost [sym=8]. You can split the cost, ...

Re: [MCD] Companions are horrible.
New Companion Rule: Once per game, any time you could cast a sorcery (during your main phase when the stack is empty), you can pay 3 generic mana to put your companion from your sideboard into your hand. This is a special action, not an activated ability. https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archiv...

Thanks for notifying me about that. That was something I didn't know until now. I posted the video there and and removed it here.Wallycaine wrote: ↑4 years agoI believe this board has a policy that unofficial leaks belong in the unofficial leak section, and nowhere else.

Re: Double Masters Set
The problem I see with this many products coming out, is a spoiler-fatigue that I already had during 2019. But now, they really upped their game. In summer, we will have 6 weeks of spoilers: Core 21, Jumpstart and then Double Masters. How am I supposed to keep up? I already feel left behind, because...

Re: Comp. Rule 903.11 vs. Commander Rule 11
You'd think it isn't an opinion, just stated fact, but this thread was started by "I was corrected by someone that this is contradicted by WotCs official Comp. Rules." So somebody the OP interacted with has implied the Comprehensive Rules trumps/overrides the RC. Exactly. The person was a...

Re: Comp. Rule 903.11 vs. Commander Rule 11
The thing is, it's even in the Comp. Rules: 903.1. In the Commander variant, each deck is led by a legendary creature designated as that deck's commander. The Commander variant was created and popularized by fans; an independent rules committee maintains additional resources at MTGCommander.net. The...

Re: Comp. Rule 903.11 vs. Commander Rule 11
The only other option I can think of that the "if allowed" means houseruling, but that wouldn't make sense either, because if you play with house rules, why do you need regulations then? Or maybe, they just forgot to change it? Wouldn't be the first time. When PE and Iona got banned, they ...

Comp. Rule 903.11 vs. Commander Rule 11
Today, when I explained to someone that Companions work in Commander, but Wishes don't, with the backup of Rule 11 from mtgcommander.net "Abilities which bring other card(s) you own from outside the game into the game (such as Living Wish; Spawnsire of Ulamog; Karn, the Great Creator) do not fu...

Re: OwO What's This? Notices Bowos (Zirda, the Dawnwaker)
I still wasn't able to test the list, but I decided that I want to write a primer for it nonetheless. So I designed a cringy header and when I find some time, I will begin to write the primer for it. Also, I want to run Sequestered Stash for more recursion. Probably I will replace a Mountain with it.

Re: Zirda, the Dawnwaker (Let's Brew!)
I haven't seen Mana Tithe being played, but I mean it could literally prevent a Turn 2 kill. Too be honest I got a bit of a kick out of seeing it in your list and thought, might as well try it. But technically Ricochet Trap is going to do more work over time than Tithe, so it has to be both or just...

Re: Zirda, the Dawnwaker (Let's Brew!)
The thing is that Staff of Domination literally does nothing unless you have infinite mana . Where as Expedition Map can do things outside of infinite mana, like get you a combo enabler ( Inventors' Fair ), removal ( Blast Zone ) or graveyard retrieval ( Buried Ruin ). But when you do have infinite...

Look at playing online for your cEDH experiences. My friends use Cockatrice, and I know there are other free online software to play Magic. Not really a big fan of Cockatrice, XMage and the likes, but I guess I have to bite the bullet :/ I just want to play with real cardboard again ._. Goblin Weld...

Re: Zirda, the Dawnwaker (Let's Brew!)
I think you're onto a winner, you should add a thread to the cEDH section we have on Nexus here. I'd like to hear about the progress once you get to play games. Not sure if I get to play with the deck that much, because I don't have a play group around and my old play group doesn't like cEDH that m...

Re: A Take on Titan - No Escape from 12-Rack (Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger)
Okay, time for part 2 of the set review for Kroxa: Dredge the Mire sounds like a funny little reanimation spell, but it doesn't work for our graveyard, so I'll probably pass on that. Surly Badgersaur looks like another Bone Miser , but I fear that I don't play enough self-discard to justify running ...
