Re: How long does it take you to initially build a deck?
Two to three hours. The pick a commander and choose its theme takes up most of the time, but once it's decided it's just about bringing the cards out of collection.

Re: Cirdan and Cruiser EDH
Cirdan deck are those " once per night deck". You don't try to play it every game. It will loses it's novelty. That's unfortunate, he's the only U/G big spell commander I like. Personally I'd give everyone little packs of basic lands, with number equal to the number of players, then assig...

Re: Cirdan and Cruiser EDH
I could see it getting tiresome because he's a real mindgame to think about, but as long as you have a reasonably fast way to do the voting I think it should be okay from time to time. At the playtest, I suggested counting to three then point at the person to vote. This method becomes a learned hab...

Cirdan and Cruiser EDH
Círdan the Shipwright How does everyone feel about him? I like how he provides card advantage and allows cruiser cards to be dropped more readily. I'm tempted to add cards like Dream Halls / Show and Tell / Tidal Barracuda to my deck just to rouse mild chaos at the table, and everyone gets to play ...

No option for two people? I playtest against one friend a lot before taking it to four people.

Theft Deck: Prosper or Rashmi/Ragavan?
I have a Prosper, Tome-Bound /Dragon theft deck at the moment, and I'm eyeing at Rashmi and Ragavan . They both generate a lot of token resources (hence have cards like Reckless Fireweaver ) and they both do most of their theft through red. Everyone knows how powerful Prosper is, I'm just curious as...

Brenard, Ginger Sculptor attracts me the most. There are many ways to use him, but I'm most curious about how to make as many ginger golems as possible.

Brenard, Grandpa of Machines
Brenard, Ginger Sculptor Aside from the obvious token duplication strategy like Anointed Procession , he works with all the golems and splicers from Phyrexia. Any dead creature would return with not only +2/+2 and trample, they also gain abilities from presenting splicers like Blade Splicer , then ...

Re: Missy and Morph mechanic
Can missy be a potential Artifact/Morph commander, then? I can already imagine her reusing all the morphs, with Urza, Lord High Artificer in the background. Destroyed "trap cards" only turn into new trap cards.

Missy and Morph mechanic
Missy
I presume it's possible to turn a creature face up via morph and other mechanics, but would they remain 2/2 artifact Cyberman?
Just curious as to how I can expand on Missy's effect in deck building.

Re: Leori Tribal Ratio
If you wanted to basically have a creatureless deck, beside tokens, then Lukka, Coppercoat Outcast could be used to say get Aurelia, the Warleader, Karlach, Fury of Avernus, Moraug, Fury of Akoum. Poetic cruelty, if I sac Leori with Luke. In relate to the Lukka bandwagon, Mila, Crafty Companion // ...

Re: Leori Tribal Ratio
Of note Double Strike gives you two triggers each turn. You could name two different planeswalkers or double up on the triggers of same walkers (I think). Ajani, Caller of the Pride There are equipment that give Double Strike; Bladehold War-Whip , Brass Knuckles , Embercleave , Fireshrieker , Gavel...

The shuffling at the end may be an issue, but a deck like this wouldn't lack self-mill either. Ethereal Absolution is an awesome choice to populate with.

Re: Leori Tribal Ratio
Jace, Chandra, Elspeth, and Teferi all have a pretty good selection of abilities across the various walkers, and might have the largest pool of different printings compared to some others. I would expect those 4 could fill out enough slots without too many weak links. I could be a good control styl...

Unlike the other two so far, Anikthea precon actually looks fun. I will go with a zombie sub theme.

Leori Tribal Ratio
Leori, Sparktouched Hunter Leori's ability works on more than one PW of the same type at once. For example, if you named "Chandra", you get to duplicate each of your Chandra's next ability. In other words, Leori offers an interesting direction for a Superfriend deck where you reap the gre...

Re: Unreleased and New Card Discussion
Thus far, the two precons are boring as hell. I don't buy precons for reprints, but if WotC is going to charge extra for those who would, the compnay should at least make it worthwhile. Take Universe Beyond precons for example, at least the reprints are in new gorgeous arts.

Esper Cloning?
I had a Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun deck focuses on cloning legends, especially the Kamigawa dragons, utilizing cards like Cackling Counterpart to abuse legend rules and death triggers. I'm wondering if there's a suitable Esper cloning commander out there so I could add in Hidetsugu and Kairi.

Re: How much tutoring is too much?
A good way to reduce the number of tutors and/or staples... is to reduce the # of colors in your deck. One reason I'm more fond of 2-c decks these days is because that I have less staples to worry about.

Re: The top three worst strategies to play against
Mana denial would be my pick. I'm not against strategy that target resources, though I found ones led by Derevi, Empyrial Tactician to be very difficult to handle. Not only does she turn the suppression one-sided, Derevi herself is almost impossible to remove under the said suppression.
