No worries! You're not beholden to me and are under no obligation to respond to me in a timely manner. :P I certainly don't check Nexus all that often, which is part of why I stepped down as a mod (the other part being because I was mostly one to help the site get set up). Ahh, yeah, I can see that....

Re: Oracle's Shift
Okay, thinking on it, more, I think I'd be okay going down to 1 Spellseeker for a 3rd Thought Lash. We have 7 win con enablers and 7 win cons (4 main, 3 backup, each, if we don't count Spellseeker/cantrips), that way, which I like the sound of, quite a bit. Anyone think that sounds like a dumb idea?...

Re: EXPLODING VEGAN DINOSAURS
I got to play this deck, yesterday. Of the 4 Casual-60 decks I still have (the other 3 being CRAB BATTLE!!!, Blightning Tribal, and Dragonsong), I would say this one pretty definitively has the least power from among them. I sold my Achromatic Barrens to a friend, and he used that against this when ...

Re: BR Blightning Tribal - Battle Box Part 2
Got to play with this deck, the other day. I won both rounds, though I can't remember all that much about how the games, in question, went. The biggest weakness this deck has is running out of fuel, which the additions of Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger and Blazing Specter seem to address well enough ...

Re: CRAB BATTLE, AAAAUGH
Played some CRAB BATTLE!!! the other day. I pulled off 3 Fractured Sanity after getting some CRABS!!! out and some Landfall triggers, and my opponent ran out of cards. My next card would have been Tasha's Hideous Laughter , so, rough match for him, either way. The next round, I won off of CRABS!!! +...

Re: Oracle's Shift
Played some Oracle's Shift vs. D&T and Delver, the other day. Won a couple vs. D&T, lost a couple. Skyclave Apparition off of an Aether Vial is %$#% tough to deal with, especially when it eats your Thought Lash . Won one vs. Delver by Force of Will ing a T1 Delver of Secrets // Insectile Abe...

Oh? :o What do you find particularly fun about it? Yeah, next time I play it, I'll keep Unexpected Results in mind and see what would have happened if I would have had that, instead, and see what the...unexpected results...would be, hehe. Yeah, apparently my Casual-60 friends have a bit harder an ed...

Re: My 7th edition "duel" decks
Do you think, then that there's room for a Dark Ritual or two in the black deck? Maybe a Culling the Weak ? It's quick mana and could push you to a viable threat in response to green's own threat. If green has trouble with blue, maybe consider a copy or two of those green cards that do damage to all...

Yes, I believe Prototype falls within the spirit of Hobo rules, as well.
I have updated the OP to reflect this.

Re: My 7th edition "duel" decks
No worries! You always post in my deck threads, so I figured I should return the favor. Hope the Christmas party goes well! Hmm...I mean, black decks should always have the tools to deal with big creatures - just drop a kill spell, y'know? Between Dark Banishing and Corrupt, I think it has all the t...

Re: Standard "explore" deck
Jadelight Ranger and Path of Discovery are excellent Explore cards. I liked using these with cards like Sidisi, Brood Tyrant and Surveil cards when I was using them in Casual-60. Gate to the Afterlife + God-Pharaoh's Gift are wonderful together utilizing this mechanic, if you're willing to expand b...

Re: My 7th edition "duel" decks
I love seeing decks like this that are used to help new players learn the game! I actually once taught someone Magic via Cockatrice by building a red deck and a blue deck, both of which were 40-cards, and basically mirror images of each other, with a few variations. It was a fun way to get someone n...

Re: ...so, I lied. I built another deck. UG Legendary Dragonsong!
Got to test this iteration of the deck today! I played it against Achromatic Barrens (a friend bought the latter from me), and, while it was a slow start, it performed magnificently. Hierarch + Birbs with Kinnan out felt so good , as I was able to cast two of my Kamigawa dragons in a single turn wit...

Re: Your last legacy games
Got to whip out Sneak & Breach, yesterday. Played against UR Delver, and D&T. D&T got crushed every round but one, where I kept a dead hand. Delver got crushed every round but two, one of which where I kept a dead hand (no threats) to see what I could make of it, and the other of which w...

Hobo: The Return!
Have you ever wanted to play a Magic format where a playset of Bazaar of Baghdad is considered a staple? No? Too bad! A while ago, on MTGS, Club Flamingo invented a hilarious and wonderful format where you were not allowed to use mana to pay for a spell's mana cost. This mana-deficit format became c...

...a thought. What if I swap out Harmonize for Unexpected Results , a pet card of mine? Alternatively, there's always Bounty of the Luxa , another pet card of mine, though I worry it would not be fast enough, as per my previous experiences with it in Casual-60. Also, contemplating trying to fit in a...

I really like this, in theory, and would love to see this concept expanded to sets with, shall we say, a little more modernism!
