So uh. I somehow forgot Descendants' Path in this list. I'm thinking I'll cut a Jugan Defends and a Dragon's Hoard for two of them?
Edit: That's what we're going with, because why not.

...so, I lied. I built another deck. UG Legendary Dragonsong!
I was looking at the previews for the new Forgotten Realms set and I was struck by how much I really liked Korlessa, Scale Singer . If Dragons had more good UG stuff, I'd consider her for a Commander, but first, I decided to try my hand at Casual-60, as I felt I'd get the most out of her, that way. ...

Re: Introducing the CCC Mailbag - Edition #1!
Would you ever play or build a custom card cube? What would you recommend, balance-wise, archetype-wise, and so forth? How strictly should the color pie be adhered to for such a set?

It seemed like a cooler name than "Colorless Ramp". Creatures 4 Walking Atlas 2 Weatherlight Compleated 4 Farfinder 4 Skittering Surveyor 4 Pilgrim's Eye 4 Burnished Hart 4 Solemn Simulacrum 4 Walker of the Wastes Artifacts 2 Journeyer's Kite 2 Thaumatic Compass 2 Sword of the Animist Sorc...

Re: EXPLODING VEGAN DINOSAURS
Update: I've made the change I mentioned above, where I swapped out 2 Bombardment and 2 Pyrohemia for 4 Raging Regisaur , and while I haven't had an opportunity to test it, it already feels like this is a correct change to make, despite my heartbreak over losing consistent access to Pyrohemia. I may...

EXPLODING VEGAN DINOSAURS
So, this deck's name is a little bit of an inside joke. The short version is that I refer to Explosive Vegetation as "Exploding Vegans", and, while this deck does not run that card, it does run a plant (a pet card of mine, actually), dinosaurs, and some ramp, so, it seemed like a silly eno...

Re: Oracle's Shift
(Sorcerous Spyglass completely locked Sneak Attack out of the game, which was also funny to me, because my friend completely forgot that he couldn't use it, and tried to plan around being able to activate its ability. I reminded him that, naw, not an option, and the game carried on.)

Re: Oracle's Shift
Nah, it was a Turbo Depths/Death's Shadow hybrid build I came up with. Lots of fun. Played some more Oracle's Shift, today. Went up against and crushed Elves and an Experimental Frenzy brew. Went up against Grixis Storm and Sneak & Show and lost, though most of the matches against the latter two...

Poll: Which deck to post next?
I've recently trimmed my Casual-60 fare down to 4 decks. I converted Skelly, UG Stompy, and Sidisi's Gift (really cool deck utilizing Sidisi, Brood Tyrant with God-Pharaoh's Gift and Scarab God to just pump out EtB beater value) into a single Sidisi, Brood Tyrant Commander deck (though I considered ...

Yeah, it seems that way. I'm kinda getting a hankering to rebuild S&B, despite not having the ability to play Legacy frequently...ugh.

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread
After a lot of soul searching (for lack of a better phrase), I've decided that my Magic days are behind me. I've been trying to tell myself that I wasn't just losing interest and it was merely the pandemic keeping me from playing, but really the pandemic just gave me the necessary perspective to fo...

Re: Oracle's Shift
If I run the Temples, Wasteland is going to be this deck's boogeyman. How prevalent is Wasteland in the meta, currently? Edit: Wildfire393 — Today at 7:42 PM The best deck is UR Delver which I believe still packs an entire playset According to mtgtop8 it's the 4th most played card in the format with...

Re: Oracle's Shift
I'm not sure I was aware of the Temple being a card; I'll pick up a playset and see how it runs. That said, my issue with both that and the Skerry are that they both EtB tapped. The fast mana from sol lands has been a godsend on numerous occasions, and honestly, if I could get Svyelunite Temple exac...

Re: Oracle's Shift
Further thoughts, since I'm having difficulty falling asleep: I think Crystal Vein might actually be better than City of Traitors in this build. I've paid close attention to the times I have played it, and considered how City would fare in its stead. On every single occasion, Crystal Vein was a bett...

Played against an Assembly-Worker deck with a lot of resilience. Unfortunately for them, a T2 Thought Lash was basically the end.

Re: Skelly: The Beginning
Got to test Skelly this past weekend against an Assembly-Worker deck. It was a pretty intense match-up, and basically came down to a race to see who could generate more tokens more quickly. Unfortunately, I did not win that race, but I felt that Culling the Weak definitely earned its keep, allowing ...

Re: CRAB BATTLE, AAAAUGH
It's more that I rarely get to see them hit the board when I do draw them, and this is going to make them even rarer to see. That said, I'm kind of warming up to the idea of making them sort of akin to "boss monsters" in the deck, so I pulled the trigger on the remaining Fractured Sanities...

Not interested in Archive Trap ? It will often go off for free against Fetch lands. Do you have a contingency if the opponent has any anti-mill tech? Not interested in Archive Trap. I know exactly one person who plays fetchlands in their decks against my Casual stuff, and that's because he uses Leg...

Re: CRAB BATTLE, AAAAUGH
I have dropped 2 Started Awake for 2 Fractured Sanity. Should I remove 1 Aberration and 1 Nemesis to make it a playset?
