Re: Style Biter's Breakfast - Volrath, the Shapestealer
Greater Good, of course. That should find a slot. While we're on sac outlets, Altar of Dementia could be a cool way to use War-Pride kitten copies post combat. As a bonus, it has Volrath flavour which is the best flavour. He's always been my favourite MTG villain too. Also, how would Renata, Called...

Re: Style Biter's Breakfast - Volrath, the Shapestealer
Greater Good , of course. That should find a slot. It's funny that you mention Buried Alive . That was in the earliest version of the deck when I was running Necrotic Ooze and a full reanimation package to boot. Genesis is on the bubble at the moment, but maybe it could have a home? We'll have to s...

Re: Style Biter's Breakfast - Volrath, the Shapestealer
First of all, thanks y'all for the positive feedback. I'm glad to see that this deck has resonated with others, too! I see a lot great ideas for things that will at least make it into a "Notable Exceptions" section. Cool stuff, I honestly didn't realise that Volrath plus War-Pride c...

Considering that this thread is the first Google result for "tappedout security risk", maybe we should be careful about verifying this as factual before anything else.

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Mark of Fury
This is an underappreciated card. Mark of Fury is a powerhouse in Shu Yun decks.

If that's the case, I guess I'm speeding up my personal migration to Archidekt. Do you have a source with more information?

Re: What is going in your decks from C20 and Ikoria?
I think Ominous Seas might make it into my Thassa deck, but that's about it. Maybe some of the free-with-commander spells might make it into my decks, but I'm worried they're going to be more money than they're worth to me. Overall, Ikoria doesn't really do it for me for constructed, but I am very m...

I clicked through the link in your sig, and that deck is wild. Unpredictable Cyclone definitely belongs in there.MeowZeDung wrote: ↑4 years agoIt's going straight in my Bruse/Kraum beast tribal etb combo cycling deck (yes, you read that correctly).

Re: Uro, Titan who brings the Doomsday Aurora
Hey, it happens! I heartily endorse Elvish Reclaimer. I run it and it does a lot of good work ensuring that I have enough Islands to use Mystic Sanctuary or getting Glacial Chasm when needed.outtawack311 wrote: ↑4 years agoI'm not sure why I said Elvish Rejuvenator when I meant Elvish Reclaimer.

Re: Uro, Titan who brings the Doomsday Aurora
Frantic search, careful study and catalog are strong potential inclusions that I keep forgetting about. I might be more inclined to try explore, growth spiral or coiling oracle first because it can further our plans of putting lands out. Are you running those? I need to double back and look at your...

I've yet to be disappointed to draw Catalog or Frantic Search. I'm giving consideration to adding Careful Study and Thirst for Knowledge/Meaning as well.

Re: Style Biter's Breakfast - Volrath, the Shapestealer
Current thoughts for a winning combo (credit to King of Jank for base idea): Volrath + Nacatl War-Pride + Pathbreaker Ibex = Massive Overrun Win or Volrath + Nacatl War-Pride + Biovisionary = Hilarious Combo Win or Volrath + Nacatl War-Pride + Any Clone + Any ETB Removal = Slightly Less Massive Boar...

Re: Uro, Titan who brings the Doomsday Aurora
So I decided to build this deck and I'm running into issues with early game mana and possibly too many exploration effects. What are your thoughts on standard ramp cards like rampant growth, cultivate/kodamas, explosive vegetation, khalni, or realms uncharted? Also, what about courser of kruphix, o...

Re: Secret Lair
Not going to lie, I'd get a massive kick out of owning those cards if this turned out to be a product they actually print. Same. I've actually got Mudhole , Storm Crow , and Chimney Imp in top loaders. I would buy at least two of these if they were eventually real. Y'all are in luck, site says they...

Re: Style Biter's Breakfast - Volrath, the Shapestealer
I had forgotten about Quillspike + Devoted Druid. I used to have that in my Jarad deck way back when. Pickles is too feel bad for what I'm after. Yawgmoth, Thran Physician + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed for recursion loops Ooh! This is intriguing. Especially with a full package of ETB creatures. I'm defi...

Re: Wandering Into Victory - Maelstrom Wanderer Lands
Ooh, that's not a bad idea. It'd kill several birds with one stone. I didn't realize that several things I wanted (Gerrard Weatherlight Hero, Leadership Vacuum, etc.) were in there, too. Thanks for the tip!
