Re: Is Neon Dynasty one of the greats?
I really enjoyed NEO. Personally, I thought there was a very good string of limited formats for a bit there, but they started to lose me during AFR/MID/VOW. I say this as someone who considers limited to be my primary format. After 3 sets in a row that I wasn't super fond of, NEO was a breath of fre...

Re: Ozolith/Hardened Scales
I would prefer keeping the Yorvo in the deck. He's an early large threat that will attract removal away from your other creatures. Also, the rest of your creatures are not very big, if Yorvo is gone.. you might have problems against decks that bring out large creatures quickly. I think it's best to...

Re: Ozolith/Hardened Scales
That would definitely be a better option than Spell Pierce in the Simic build, but I think the Selesnya build is the better route.motleyslayer wrote: ↑2 years agohave you tried Stubborn Denial in the deck or can you not reliably get your creatures big enough to make it a hard counter?

Re: Ozolith/Hardened Scales
I switched to Selesnya and had another 2-1 run. Haven't played it again since, I like to try out different stuff every week...but it feels like Selesnya is where it should be, I don't think I'll try Golgari. Here is my updated list: Creatures: 4x Experiment One 4x Servant of the Scale 4x Swarm Shamb...

Re: [Official] State of Pioneer Thread (B&R 12/16/2019)
Surprising lack of comment on the ban here I'm not a fan of it. I play Pioneer on a weekly basis, and I never thought Lurrus decks felt particularly oppressive in the format. I think Lurrus actually helped the format feel more diverse, incentivizing aggro builds that have all vanished in the past f...

Re: Sports
that loss was a rough loss for the Bills. I'm confident they'll be one of the better teams in the AFC, but it's a shame they lost to the Chiefs in the divisional round and not the AFC championship It feels great to have Josh Allen....we should be competitive for quite a while. I can only pray we wi...

Re: Ozolith/Hardened Scales
Simic Ascendancy is neat in this list, have you won any games off having enough counters on it? Well, I built the deck last week and just played my first tournament tonight...I had to cancel last week due to a blizzard:/ Anyways, I went 2-1, so I was happy with that. I played a turn 2 Ascendancy in...

NEO Preorders
It's been awhile since I've done a preorder, but I've decided I need to scale back on my box opening and get back to my roots of preordering cards that look undervalued. My best "hit" ever was preodering Golos and Field of the Dead! This is more about getting cards for my collection at a g...

I am a die hard Buffalo Bills fan, I am an admin for a Bills message board.
I am still not over that loss....I probably won't be until September.

Re: [official] How long have you been playing?
I started during Revised, stopped around Mercadian Masques, took a 15 year break, then started playing again during original Theros block. When I stopped playing, I sold a lot of my cards, including complete sets of Urza's Legacy and Unglued. Really regretting throwing all my extra Unglued Basics in...

Since I didn't see him mentioned, I'll say B/R for Gollum.

Re: Hello All
Welcome! I think you have come to a good place, especially for Commander discussions. I know you said you are still new to it so I can understand where that won't be your primary focus regarding Magic but if you ever want advice on decks or just a general discussion on your decks, feel free to crea...

Ozolith/Hardened Scales
I try to mix it up between netdecks and homebrews when I play Pioneer, here is a current brew I'm working on. I saw some old lists from around April 2020, but the deck never seemed to take off. I think it was trying to go too big with X cost creatures, rather than run as an aggro deck that can go bi...

Hello All
I've just joined and wanted to introduce myself, I hope this is the right place. I recently stumbled upon this community, and I've actually been looking for something like this for quite some time. As an "elder millennial", message boards are my preferred way to discuss my interests. I pre...
