I think it's more that she doesn't necessarily want to return to Magic art, at least from what I heard.

I like having the vast majority of the cards be a cohesive style and very much dislike most of the old art, but that's just my opinion on it.

These are much more likely to go up in price, as they're a collectors item for people outside of Magic, too.

Aaaaaaaand you're the problem. I, for one, want formats like Modern to be accessible to more people and don't think something like lands should be prohibitively expensive.

To be fair, a lot of the people needing fetches can't use proxies. I know some people use them in casual EDH games, but I've never actually met anyone who was okay with it in real life.
