Re: Kenrith Compound Interest: This deck is garbage, buuut
Got a couple for you: Zirda, the Dawnwaker as copy 3 of Biomancer's Familiar and Training Grounds . Gyre Sage - potentially goes nuts with the +1/+1 counter elements of the plan. Marwyn, the Nurturer is in a very similar vein. Black Market - can get silly after a boardwipe. Altar of Shadows - so bad...

Re: Anikthea Token/Tribal
Ooh Parallax Wave and Saproling Burst ? I find it interesting that Myrkul, Lord of Bones explores this space from a completely opposite side of the spectrum, but that there's such a minuscule amount of crossover between the two decks. Wow though - this actually is the deck for Song of the Worldsoul ...

Re: MAY 2023 QUARTERLY UPDATE
Had a pregame talk with a guy recently, was 2 of my playgroup and him. I said, we're looking for a casual game, none of us are running infinite combos, games usually end with combat after a big buildup. He brought out Colfenor, the Last Yew and I'm like, okay good this guy gets it. Then he prepared ...

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Crypt Rats
Love this card! I play it in my Sorrow's Path Golos, Tireless Pilgrim that DirkGently pioneered. It's a creature version of Pestilence that with any of the anthem effects in the deck survives its own shenanigans. I can also put a dozen iterations of it on the stack if I don't care if it dies. Can se...

Marionette Master could be a cool one depending on where you're at in the game. Love the idea of choosing to make the guys, but the master still being large enough that they can't block them profitably.

I like it
Mutavault in the manabase for sure!
Might be a good deck for Cosmic Intervention / Brought Back with fetchlands and lotus vale, lotus field, scorched ruins.

Alright, better option - Shorikai, Genesis Engine to continually spit out dudes and create card advantage while enabling a discard outlet for free spells.

Re: Vadrok - All In GIGA CHAD
Maybe something like Wedding Announcement // Wedding Festivity as a non-creature permanent that makes a couple dudes over 2 turns to mutate onto, and draws cards if you happen to already have attackers?
Edit: damn humans! I thought this made vampires.

Re: Vadrok - All In GIGA CHAD
Bitterhorn, Nissa's Animus looks like it could be good fun for this deck - you can mutate onto the germ and keep on swinging :D Also wondering if this might be a good Thrill of Possibility / Cathartic Reunion deck - I believe you don't have to discard when you mutate, while simultaneously you can d...

Re: Volo, Journaling on a Trapeze
Hall of the Bandit Lord is coming in, as it gives native haste, for a mana cheaper than comparable Hanweir Garrison and Flamekin Village.
If I take this to the local meta, I'm going to have to gimp it a bit. Probably remove rift and the free interaction.

Re: Ebondeath Dracolich, Relentless Voltron
Got a fun game in with this deck tonight — had both Nightmare Lash snd Lashwrithe equipped to an EOT Ebondeath, Dracolich to lethal a player for 23 commander damage. Funny interaction- Sword of Forge and Frontier eciled both Bladewing's Thrall and Poxwalkers on the first hit, making them permanently...

I use this and Ophiomancer as creatures that defend my superfriends in Carth the Lion. They are the only ones that can provide a chump each turn.

Requesting a roast for the Volo, Itinerant Scholar + Popular Entertainer deck we've been brewing together. I really like where I've wound up - but I'm interested to see your take on it, especially with the restrictions I brought up throughout the process. [link]https://www.moxfield.com/decks/X2FkMX0...

I'm really tempted by Revenge of the Hunted as a one sided board wipe. (Vampiric Tutor says hi)
It's definitely not on plan for the rest of the deck, but who can resist ye olde Basilisk+Lure?

Re: Volo, Journaling on a Trapeze
Did some goldfishing with Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink - it's a beautiful wombo-combo with Mana Geyser and a haste enabler. Liked what I saw from it. In a deck with clones, it also has the idea of - rite of replication on your clone getting 3 dockside's, itself, Volo and going to the moon.

Re: Sefris of the Kind of Obvious Ways
That's an interesting find for sure.. 4 mana triple Raise Dead is probably a common case, but every mode has play here.
And draw 3 discard 1 at instant speed isn't bad, especially when you're guaranteeing gas.

Re: Volo, Journaling on a Trapeze
Uncivil Unrest has some potential here as well - so far in my test games, I have not been running into multiple copies of haste. This one is nice in that, if it is a redundant copy, it can turn into a damage doubler.

Re: Sorrow's Path Golos - another stupid deck by DirkGently (Decklist up!)
Hawk inspired me with his recent thread to resurrect this topic - Rona, Herald of Invasion LOVES getting hit by Sorrow's Path - and it plays into a space that I find myself in with Golos, Tireless Pilgrim where you want to spin, but you have a Silverclad Ferocidons in your hand that is maybe the &q...

Rona, Herald of Invasion looks pretty sweet here as another looter with upside. She even double loots on your Sefris of the Hidden Ways turn!

Re: Volo, Journaling on a Trapeze
Only stand-out from the set is Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink — since we already play so many haste enablers. He does a solid Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker impression, and then has the ability to go nuts as a finisher - 5 Inferno Titans for the win!

Re: Ebondeath Dracolich, Relentless Voltron
This deck could want Invasion of Innistrad — it's a removal spell that you can knock out on one hit with Ebondeath, Dracolich that then is a never ending supply of bodies / a place to dump mana.

Re: Sefris of the Kind of Obvious Ways
I play with Tivit, Seller of Secrets as a commander for another deck, but I've found that even when other people have clones, he's virtually always the target and virtually always a problem. The immediate value is great, but then he's also a big body with an on-hit trigger, and protects himself.
