Hello all,

It has been quite a while since I have posted here. One card I am currently considering is Tocasia's Welcome. It is triggered by almost every zombie we have, and we have the capability of triggering it on multiple turns. It seems like a fairly reliable way to draw some cards. Thoughts?

Does anyone actually like Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver in the 99? I've been quite disappointed. I think he's going to get the hook soon.

Personally, I like Wilhelt. His performance can vary from game to game, but overall he synergizes pretty well with the deck.

I think I'd run Consider before Thought Scour so I can decide if I want to keep the card or not.

if you want to dig for an out, why not run a tutor instead of Ponder? It gets you the guaranteed out, Vampiric into looting with Varina is really good.

I think Remora will always have a place since it is a low cost enchantment with an immediate impact (even if we don't draw and we delay ramping, it is a positive for us). I think an argument could be made to replace Rhystic with more aggressive immediate draw effects.

Smuggler's Share ability to draw cards AND ramp through treasures is what intrigues me. The cost is reasonable and there is no tax you can pay to get around it's abilities.

Has anyone here tested Body Count or Smuggler's Share yet? If so, do you have any useful feedback?

I'm with @toctheyounger here. The cost of Wand and Robe is 6 and 7 respectively, which is a significant cost compared to other impactful equipment (Swords cost 5 and have pseudo-evasion built-in).

I agree with @toctheyounger here. Varina is not optimal in cEDH and better suited to the playstyle most subscribe to here focused on mass reanimation.

You're right on Adversary, if you're only casting it for 2 you're doing it wrong I'd say. That doesn't mean you should feel discouraged from testing it. It is not a bad card, so, who knows, it might be the perfect fit for your deck.

What do you all think of Obscura Confluence ? You could cast it after blockers are declared to miniaturize up to three nuisance opposing creatures (and hopefully kill them) or connive to filter more and pump or to bring back a zombie(s) we need from the yard. Yawgmoth's Will excels in combo decks, especially those that run rituals and cheap cantrips. It does not do so well in your average zombie themed Varina build since there is only so much you can recur in a given turn with it.

I concur with @pokken . If anything, Raffine could be a flex addition to be tested for us. If you go with Raffine as a commander you are building a very different deck than what we currently have.

How much do you guys like Kindred Discovery as compared to Teferi's Ageless Insight ? Is the former worth twelve times the price of the latter? And an additional mana?
