Read the post above the one you quoted. Dirk was waiting for the flashback deck reveal.
Thank you! I was worried. I've been waiting for the Rakdos deck reveals, but I've been in hospital a lot recently and was afraid I missed them! :)

Re: [C19] Secrets of the Dead reprint (Tukaram)

List dumped on mothership, last legend spoiled by the Command Zone. Sleep awaits you soon ;) Wait, I'm confused. We have a Naya deck, with three legends potential commanders, a Sultai deck with three potential commanders, a Jeskai deck with three potential commanders--and a Rakdos deck with only on...

Re: Hybrid mana

I absolutely want to keep the hybrid mana rules the way that they are. I know that running Privileged Position in my Avacyn deck would be a thing. Any deck ever would want Beseech the Queen . I play EDH for the overall flavor of the format. I'm not intending to play singleton Legacy/Vintage with a 1...

Re: how yr play group reacts to various counterspells

In my group, the type of counterspell does not matter to the response. It is the density. If a deck has only a few, then it's a hazard of the game. If a deck is dedicated to countering (and overly controlling/permission-oriented in general), it gets groans.

Well, I've got a Reassembling Skeleton lying around. I don't remember if I have a spare Gravecrawler. Gisa and Geralf like it too much to give up otherwise.

Well, I have some tweaking to do! Thank you for the suggestions!

Re: Mono-Black Woes, or what do I do with Yawgmoth?

Oddly, I ended up pulling both altars from my build when I found them to just sit there most of the time. Endrek is languishing in my binder, so he's an easy add. Is Nether Traitor good enough do you think?

Well, I've got the following in my list: Liliana, Dreadhorde General Liliana of the Dark Realms Liliana Vess Karn Liberated Liliana, Death's Majesty Liliana, the Last Hope Ob Nixilis Reignited Ugin, the Spirit Dragon Sorin Markov Only nine 'walkers so far. Re: Rule Change Ideas - SCG article

is that an acceptable trade-off to having the ability to play cards more liberally? I actually like the deck-building restrictions of hybrid mana as they stand. I don't want to be throwing those cards into either deck just because I can. I think that the restrictions breed creativity. (Hardly an or...

Mono-Black Woes, or what do I do with Yawgmoth?

Black is my favorite color in Magic, and I generally have at least one mono-black deck built at any given time. But I cannot seem to find the mono-black general of my dreams. I've built (and disassembled...) things from Liliana, Heretical Healer to Chainer, Dementia Master to Ghoulcaller Gisa to Gon...

Thank you for this! I'm looking forward to seeing Lyra come up. I love her... Anyway, I remember your threads from Sally, and I am delighted to see your work here, since I've pretty much migrated. Currently, I have two mono-white decks myself, Lyra and Zombie Oketra. I keep going back to Darien, tho...

Re: What Makes Bad Games?

If I were to get my ideal bans they'd be the 3 mana an less tutors(vamp, imperial seal, mystic, worldy, enlightened, demonic, personal) the fast mana rocks(sol ring, mana crypt, mana vault, grim monolith) and skullclamp, necro, seedborn, coffers, cradle, rhystic study. Ideally I'd like to add 30 ca...

Re: What Makes Bad Games?

I feel like I'm repeating what so many have said. The worst games I have had were mismatched power level games, and games wherein someone tried to leverage out-of-game considerations. I don't mean someone saying, "I'll buy you a beer if you attack him instead" or something. I mean the (gro...

Re: [official]card storage/sorting discussion

I had started collecting planeswalkers, too, and kept them together for convenience. It made the errata painless for me. But Jace and Lili are in their own binder, with all the other Jace and Lili cards. I collect Jace and Lili, so I have one of each art of their printings (so I have only one Lilia...

Re: [official]card storage/sorting discussion

Legendary cards are sorted chronologically in binders. I'm starting the fifth binder now. That way I don't have to go back and re-sort, and I know what's missing by the holes. Not sure why I decided to go strictly alphabetically by set, but that's how they are, not by color. It was a real pain to g...

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread

I love this site, and a big bonus to it for me is the direct registration. I'd been at MtgSalvation for years and years, and the Curse switch-over was incredibly tedious. I had to do that weird log-in thing--and now that I've migrated to a new computer, all that log-in stuff is lost. I can only log ...

Oh yes, I'll agree here that you will never miss Quicksilver Amulet.

Have you given Marshal's Anthem any consideration? I'd probably run it over Sunbond, and maybe it's just my meta, but Endless Horizons always, always gets blown up before it does me any good at all.

Re: Lyra Angel Tribal

It's always a difficult choice on what angels to run, that's for sure, and I can understand not wanting/needing the mana-doublers if your meta will allow for being able to survive on just two or three angels out at a time. But though I appreciate the cost reduction of The Immortal Sun , that is one ...

Re: Old characters left for legends?

Well, having gotten Serra already (though I will hate Nahiri forever for not being Serra back in 2014), I think there are not that many left I want. The WB Innistrad sister for sure, and Anje Falkenrath and Runo Stromkirk. Tevesh Szat and Leshrac would be great. And redux of Barrin, Gerrard, and Bar...

I might be late to this party. Living in a different time zone from most of you will do that. If so, I apologize and feel free to ignore this. First of all, I'd like to thank the RC for the creation of this format. It's amazing, and I owe them for the many, many hours of fun I have had playing this ...

Re: [official] Card Sleeve and Deckbox discussion

I use KMC Perfect Fits inside KMC sleeves. I live in Japan, so I haven't noticed the down-turn in KMC quality that others have mentioned, though I also have a large surplus of sleeves, too, from when I sleeved up a Commander Cube in black KMCs.

Re: [official]card storage/sorting discussion

I have the legendary cards sorted by color in binders. (I collect legends.) The rest of the cards not in decks are separated by color and rarity, and alphabetized (though not within each letter). So if I want a Naturalize, for instance, I go to the green commons box and look under N. I have ... a lo...

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread

Hello? I used to be Kedvesem back on MTGS, but I'm trying to consolidate all my MTG names into Vessiliana. We'll see how well I succeed. I started Magic with Worldwake, learning from friends how to play Standard. I researched on my own, learned about EDH, and that was that. I've been playing EDH/Com...

Oh, I love Lyra! I've built and disassembled so many angel decks over the year, but when Lyra came out, she answered all my angel-tribal prayers. Re: Changing Commanders

I don't usually change just the general, since the deck is (usually) built around the commander itself. If I want to do something else, I build an entirely new deck. But it takes a good while for a deck to reach the "safety zone", where it is safe from being gutted for parts if I like some...

Re: [official] How long have you been playing?

I came in with Worldwake. A friend of my husband's brought over some cards, and I was hooked. I taught my kids to play, too. Now four of them play, to varying degrees. Two don't play at all, and two are not able to read yet, being four and one years old, respectively. We have EDH once or twice a week.
