Re: New Grixis Commander Legend - All good things must come to an END
I just realized that your Avatar "Kaho, Minamo Historian" goes infinite for 6 mana with Finale Fortune o.O

Re: New Grixis Commander Legend - All good things must come to an END
Thanks Darren! I'm wondering if Corpse Dance and Shallow Grave can be viable. We can let our commander go to the grave when he gets removed and bring him back with haste. Waiting an extra turn after he dies to gain value from most of our deck feels very squishy to me. We can also add a nice package ...

Re: New Grixis Commander Legend - All good things must come to an END
Doesn't work with that card or effects that read 'until end of turn'.
Only if it says 'at the beginning of the next end step' because you can respond to the trigger.
You can respond to shallow grave for instance, but not act of treason.

What do you think about adding anger, lightning greaves and hall of the bandit lord for haste?
We could also add more creatures that get significantly better with haste.
PS: I think the new encore ability will have some more goodies for the deck.

Re: Xenagos, God of 2x Beatdown
You're so right. Protection has been a game changer for me playing this deck again after 4 years. Can't tell you how often I was able to protect Xenagos with this. I'm going to try ranger's guile over blossoming defense due to the mana cost. Aren't they the same card except blossoming defense gives...

Re: Xenagos, God of 2x Beatdown
Would you consider adding Hydra Omnivore back if you do run Fiery Emancipation ? Would be a pretty sweet table wipe if you get it to connect on one opponent. I probably won't. I've been actually trying to lower the curve of the fatties as much as reasonably possible. In mana curve terms, there isn'...

Re: Xenagos, God of 2x Beatdown
1. Hey Penguin, have you tried Kogla (the ape from Ikoria)? 2. And what do you think of beaters like kalonian hydra? 3. An extra equipment for Godo? There's a high chance he has nothing to fetch if you draw embercleave... 4. Late game: subterranean tremors and oblivion stone? 5. Are you still runni...

That sounds cool! Which other land tutors are you running besides sylvan scrying?Ardeyn wrote: ↑4 years ago
In my version of the deck I play Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage which with all the land tutors - I also have Into the North and snow lands - is another great "one shot" with Xenagos.
