You can Ninjutsu at the end of combat step, but it has to be done before you move on to the second main phase.

More artifact lands certainly helps this - a deck like Galazeth or Zaffai can have 4 artifact lands now, and a deck like Breya, Etherium Shaper could theoretically run 11 if she so chose thanks to the bridges. I ran 13 in mine :grin: I kept the few counterspells in that deck for Merciless Eviction ...

I play the card in my The Ur-Dragon deck and, so far, I've cast it about 4 or 5 times to varying degrees of success. I've also had it sat in my hand doing nothing about as many times. I like the fact that it punishes decks that want to abuse the fast mana rocks. Overall, I think it scales quite well...

I get that the theme is treasures, but everything about Black Market Tycoon feels to me: the name, the effect, the flavour text...

Don't forget that Lotus Field enters tapped so for the sake of optimization you'll always pick Lotus Vale and Scorched Ruins over it.

Lotus Field has hexproof though, which the other two lack. I'm always afraid of getting blown up by a Strip Mine or something with those lands.

I've been on a campaign locally to get people to stop playing stuff that forces people to play blue and the counterspell argument figures prominently. It is a horrible design space for multiplayer to assume someone will have blue to stop you. Stack based wins belong in cedh, not even really in high...

I got an early kill with it last night with my Breya, Etherium Shaper deck. With all the artifact lands now available and the tokens from Breya, I could start hitting for 10+ damage on turn 4.

I surely would have loved a Secret Lair containing all 5 OG dragon spirits (Kokusho, the Evening Star and co.) with a special frame treatment and new artwork. I don't think it would have presented too much value compared to other SLs.

I used him at the helm of a mono-black zombie tribal deck, it was okay. He can definitely be impressive when kicked but my opponents usually saw it coming and had their counterspell or their board wipe ready. I guess it performs better in the 99 as it can then caught opponents by surprise?

It's worthy to note that Revolt also works with bounce and blink, which means Renegade Rallier can be a good fit in decks like Emiel the Blessed.

It's worth noting that Impact Resonance looks at each instance of damage separately. Niv-Mizzet, Parun deals damage 1 by 1, which means that you will only be able to deal 1 damage with Impact Resonance, no matter how many times Niv's ability triggered.
