Kykar, Wind's Fury - Jeskai Tokens
Finally got around to putting my Kykar build together. Got to play it today and had a blast, despite some misplays. I learned quickly that It that Betrays really messes with the LED/Breach loop, but Sudden Substitution came to the rescue. Creatures Thassa's Oracle Young Pyromancer Emry, Lurker of th...

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Soul Diviner
I'm running it in Volrath, the Shapestealer. It's been decent.

Re: January 2020 Ban List Update - No Changes
I've been thinking about this a lot since the Paradox Engine ban. I wonder if Commander needs to be thought of as a social, rather than casual format. The emphasis on interactivity and dialogue between players, rather than on casual vs. competitive. There was some draft language for comminicating a ...

Re: What's your most unusual commander and/or deck?
My weirdest deck is probably my Grismold, the Dreadsower group thug deck. It focuses on giving away tokens to all players, then killing them off with stuff like Illness in the Ranks to make Grismold huge. It's a lot of fun. If you're curious at all, the list is here.

Re: Flavor First- Chulane the Dungeon Master
I built something along these lines with Angus Mackenzie a couple of years ago. Lots of group hug, Aluren and a few counterspells to intervene if someone was trying to combo off too early. It was fun when it worked, but could be super boring when it didn't. Choosing cards that walk the line between ...

Re: Kykar Combo
I'm putting Kykar together for a more competitive meta and plan on running the Underworld Breach + Brain Freeze + LED storm combo to either win with something like Grapeshot, Reservoir or Thassa's Oracle. Any thoughts on the combo with Kykar, or is Elsha just better?

Re: Kykar, Wind's Fury - Jeskai Tokens
As I'm brainstorming my list (which is more wombo combo focused) I've found myself at an impasse. I'm definitely running the Underworld Breach + Brain Freeze combo to generate huge storm for Grapeshot or Haze of Rage for super buffed tokens or Thassa's Oracle after I've dumped my library into the gr...

Well, I'm converted. Ordered a Kykar today. I'll post a list here (if that's cool with you, Meow) once I finalize things.

Re: Kykar, Wind's Fury - Jeskai Tokens
You continually Brain Freeze yourself to fuel Breach. It creates a huge storm count/essentially draws your deck. Even more fun with Lotus Petal and Lion's Eye Diamond. You can then win with Thassa's Oracle or Grapeshot or a bunch of huge friggin' monks.

Brain Freeze and Grapeshot are real cool with Breach.

Re: [THB] MTG Twitter Spoiler: Allure of the Unknown
This could be really fun with the pact cycle or final fortune and friends. Use scroll rack to stack your top six and then cast this. Throw Hive Mind into the mix for extra spice. Unfortunately it's a "may" cast ability. I guess you'd need the Hivemind and two "lose the game" car...
