On a side note, how quickly will this card get banned in EDH / Commander?

Re: [THB] Nyxbloom Ancient Command Zone Preview
There's better 7 drops for Mono Green EDH particularly Avenger of Zendikar which curves nicely into Craterhoof Behemoth to help close out games. Late game you'd want more value out of your creatures than mana unless you deliberately plan on winning with Helix Pinnacle . If anything Nyxbloom Ancient ...

Re: Did President Trump Start World War III with Iran?
I'll believe it's World War III when I see it. So far there hasn't been any confirmation in regards to it let alone reinstating the Draft since it would need to pass through Congress and onto the President's desk for his approval. The House of Representatives recently announced a new War Powers Reso...

Need Help Finding Good Draw Engines for Alela EDH
I'm trying to find some good draw engines for my friends' Alela, Artful Provocateur Faerie Tribal EDH / Commander deck though unfortunately this is what I'm stuck with thus far: Mesa Enchantress Vedalken Archmage Azorius Aethermage Skullclamp Smuggler's Copter Distant Melody I do have tutors that he...

i'm a big mtglion fan. he dwells too much on pro players and other youtubers. his videos are unfocused and all over the place. he needs to go back to speculation videos. i don't usually criticize him as i would personally be terrible at making my own youtube videos too. and some of the cheating wit...

Have you considered running Mana Severance to avoid hitting lands with Yuriko? Nightmare Incursion can sort of help as well If you have Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth out.

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 12/16/2019)
According to MTGLion on YouTube , apparently the MPL (Magic Pro League) was nothing but a scam to reward people who are bad at playing MTG competitively and to make things worse a Wizards employee had to beg on his knees just to get an invite to the Mythic Championships. Looking at this makes Star ...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 12/16/2019)
It's not the fear of bans that keep me out of Pioneer. It's a lack of faith in how Wizards is managing the game. In the past few years I have seen what I can only describe as multiple cash outs from Magic so far. Both Wizards and other major retailers. Now you know why the EDH Rules Committee doesn...

Re: [THB] GabySpartz Spoiler - Nyx Lotus
I felt as though this card was an excuse not to reprint Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx in Standard (unless the upcoming spoilers prove me wrong) because of how broken Devotion can be especially for the same reason why Leyline of Abundance was banned in Pioneer. Not sure If a slightly more playable Empowered...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 12/16/2019)
I'm guessing a lot of Modern players are too afraid to switch over to Pioneer because Wizards of the Coast might end up banning certain cards that cost players a ton of money like what happened in Modern with Splinter Twin and Birthing Pod years ago. It also doesn't help that the MPL (Magic Pro Leag...

Re: Wizards Keep Games Goes Out of Business or Why You Shouldn't Open a Local Game Store
By publicly acknowledging the Secondary Market which is grounds for a pending lawsuit against them by the U.S. Government. Oh? If you've got more info on that I'd love to see it. I hadn't heard anything about legal action, and I'm quite curious what the basis for that would be. Its part of the whol...

Re: Wizards Keep Games Goes Out of Business or Why You Shouldn't Open a Local Game Store
Look I think we can all agree that Secret Lair is as much of a mistake as the Reserve List though I think their intention with it was to help Magic players who don't have access to an LGS in their area. I really doubt that was WotC intention. They just saw that they can directly sell at retail pric...

Re: Wizards Keep Games Goes Out of Business or Why You Shouldn't Open a Local Game Store
I recently discussed this with one of the LGS Owners at A-Z Comics and she told me that it won't have as much of an impact on her store due to how small it is. Even though her store has been supporting Magic for nearly 27 years she also sells comic books for Marvel and DC as well as graphic novels. ...

Wizards Keep Games Goes Out of Business or Why You Shouldn't Open a Local Game Store
https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/ebklp6/hate_to_see_this/ So for those who don't know Wizards Keep Games was a really popular LGS for Wizards of the Coast employees especially on Tuesday nights for EDH / Commander. This was the shop Sheldon Menery played at, when he was in Seattle for his...

Re: Secret Lair
The Collector's Editions that they started doing in recent Standard sets with Throne of Eldraine and now Theros Beyond Death is a deliberate attempt to get rid of Paper Magic. This makes zero sense... It's getting rid of Paper Magic by devaluing the cards in a booster pack with the Extended Art foi...

Re: Standard Meta Discussion
Broken cards, broken gameplay, Standard that nobody wants to play, cards getting overpriced to unaffordability where you can't even afford to play Standard anymore, and then piling other stuff on top of it. It's greed because Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro wants to make more money on Standard, adding...

Re: Secret Lair
Let me ask you this DirkGently, imagine If there was a Paper Magic tournament at an LGS where the only prize support was MTG Arena Codes. Why would an LGS sell a product that promotes their customers not to shop at their store? Imagine If this was a Pre-Release Event which is the biggest casual even...

Re: Klothys, God of Global Warming (Let's Brew!)
Maybe run both Elvish Spirit Guide and Simian Spirit Guide for a turn 1 Klothys If you have the perfect opening hand? Speaking of mana accel, Tinder Wall and Neheb, the Eternal aren't bad either. Maybe consider Monsoon and Price of Glory for those control builds while Klothys gives you the option to...

Re: Standard Meta Discussion
Even though I'm not a Standard player when it comes to MTG, I am gravely concerned about how the current state of the format is driving away players at the LGS and how it's impacting the game as a whole. The problem is that since Ixalan, Wizards of the Coast has been actively trying to push the powe...

Re: Secret Lair
I mean...you could just buy your cards online and then hand your LGS a wad of cash from the money you saved. Makes the same difference. Personally I give my money to my LGS for the things I actually want out of my LGS - draft, commander, board games, food, drink, etc. I've dropped lots of money on ...
