snowblade is a little more on the midrange spectrum because of ice-fang coatl but it has a lot of overlap with control decks.

people that are burned by bannings or powercreep need to build more deck cores while they are cheap. otherwise you lose interest in your deck or get hit by a ban.

theres talk of a fetchland reprint this year in a non standard set.

Just put together a deck you find fun playing and go to fnm's with it. Grinding grand prix's and the like get too much in the way of more important things. Ideally you live in a city like Seattle where you won't have to travel too much to play high level magic.
