Re: Kaervek, the Merciless: it’s not my fault you’re dead

Hoo hoo hoooo, this is a fun deck to play. I tweaked the deck a little to fall within our playgroup's allowed rules, but the core remains. The largest change I made wasn't actually to the deck itself, but to how I presented the deck. I took on a thick southern accent, one designed to put me into the...

Re: Phelddagrif: Show Weakness to Hide Your Strength

Just had my first game in a long time over spelltable, and everything went exactly according to plan. My opponents were Kaalia of the Vast , Galazeth Prismari , and my buddy's political Queen Marchesa deck. I was cut on blue for most of the game, so my counter options were limited, however despite t...

Muddle the mixture is an elite loam finding tool on a budget and very good in control shells. I would play it over the new sorcery fabricate if I couldn't afford intuition.
Oh I do love muddle, thanks for the reminder that it can hit Loam.

Re: Phelddagrif: Show Weakness to Hide Your Strength

Promise of Loyalty seems like an interesting card. We don't have to bounce Griff in response so it's sort of like a normal 4 color wrath. It won't get rid of the most problematic permanents, although they won't be able to attack you. I think this is probably a meta call depending on how much trigge...

Re: Phelddagrif: Show Weakness to Hide Your Strength

I'd say my second favorite card of this spoiler season was revealed today - Inspiring Refrain . Almost un-interactible, repeated CA. 6 cmc sorcery is hard to swallow, but setting it up early for 3 isn't terrible. Opinions on this bad boy? I think Inspiring Refrain is definitely a fun include. You c...

Re: Phelddagrif: Show Weakness to Hide Your Strength

Maybe I'll try exploration again, I hadn't even considered the interaction with loam.

I definitely have been hesitant to wipe with lantern out, I've just often found the convenience nice. The repeated ramp from draw spells is a good thing to consider however,

Re: Phelddagrif: Show Weakness to Hide Your Strength

Why Imprisoned in the Moon over Song of the Dryads ? I've found the flexibility far outweighs the green mana. Evacuation has won me a game, but that's only because my opponent was playing tokens. I agree that it could definitely be cut for something better. Personally I've never gotten exploration t...

Re: Phelddagrif: Show Weakness to Hide Your Strength

I build this deck for my most recent commander game and ho boy, is it ever fun to play! My opponents were a Rhys token deck, a Zedruu pillow fort deck, and the first draft of a Morophon oops all lords deck. The game progressed fairly well, I hit my land drops and got an early thaumic compass, Zedruu...
