Re: Need to make cuts for rakdos deck!
You have some cards that I generally see in combo lists: Doomsday, Demonic Consultation, Lich. I don't see other cards that combo with them in your list, I consider them very cuttable.

Re: Vega the Watcher brew
I built mine with a lot of the "obvious" stuff listed already, but as a way to finish the game, I'm going with a small equipment package with Stoneforge Mystic and a few swords. A number of the creatures in the deck have evasion, so slapping a sword or two on them seems like a decent way ...

In Search of Greatness
I massively misvalued this card when spoiled, I thought it would be really great. It's "meh".

Re: Unreleased and New Card Discussion
I find it very amusing that they named Toxrill, the Corrosive the way they did given what a completely toxic card it is. "Hey, this resolved, now it's going to kill all your creatures until you kill it, and make me draw cards. Ok, you killed it, now I'll cast it again. Time to whack the mole!&...

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Doomsday
Doomsday is usually an insta-win in my Grenzo, Dungeon Warden deck. Cast it win 2 mana up for Grenzo's ability and I have about 10 different piles I can finish people with, depending on how I'm feeling and what's on board.

Re: Grenzo, Dungeon Warden - The Slot Machine of Value
I think Ancient Ziggurat is not something I'd add, as the mana it produces can never be used to activate Grenzo's ability. I know you're worried about the speed of your deck (hence why you're cutting Path of Ancestry ). That being said, Safe Haven , while an interesting use for it, seems extraordina...

Re: A Deck without Tutors
Glad you're enjoying the new style of deck! I agree with everyone's thoughts on the topic of tutors, and the topic has been discussed a lot. I think, for me, it really depends on your play group - I have a group that generally does not like tutors, and so most of my decks do not have non-basic tutor...

Re: Vedalken Orrery - trap or treasure?
It's only worthwhile in decks that need to play at instant speed. I have two decks where it's very helpful - Vial Smasher the Fierce , which allows me to get his triggers on everyone's turns, and Ayula, Queen Among Bears , which allows me to trigger her fight/pump at instant speed, which is huge. Li...

Re: [Help!] Karador Reanimator WiP
What kind of decks do you anticipate playing against? Vampiric Tutor seems cuttable, especially since you have other creature tutors in your deck already ( Birthing Pod , Fiend Artisan ). Same with Eladamri's Call . I'd probably cut Enlightened Tutor for a similar reason. That would open up spots fo...

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - The Filter Lands
I like these for their corner use of activating things that require colorless mana, the big one that comes to mind is Eldrazi Displacer

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Angel of the Ruins
Angel of the Ruins I really like this card! It's versatile - early on, I'll use it for the cycling to help fix my mana base. Late game, you can play it for its cost, and the ETB almost certainly has targets in the late game. And it's white AND an artifact, a good color and good type for recursion. ...

Five-Alarm Fire
Like ISB said, too much setup. To make it really great, you need to connect with what, 10-20 dudes? If I'm in a game where I'm able to connect with 10-20 creatures, my opponents should probably already be dead.

Re: Overrun on a creature - Craterhoof Galore
Missing: Kamahl, Fist of Krosa. I love him for his versatility.
Which am I running? I have a ton of decks, but over all of them, I use at least one copy of: Craterhoof, End-Raze, Thunderfoot, Pathbreaker, Kamahl, and Goreclaw.

It's not a dies trigger, but depending on how it was played, I could see someone thinking that's how Marath, Will of the Wild works.

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Blossoming Bogbeast
I like Blossoming Bogbeast . It competes with the following: Craterhoof Behemoth (the gold standard), End-Raze Forerunners , Thunderfoot Baloth , Pathbreaker Ibex , and Cultivator of Blades for the spot of a green stompy curve topping game ender. I like them all for different reasons, and I suppose ...

Re: Nadaar's Adventure
For Gift of Immortality , I don't even think you need to have much in the way of sac outlets or death triggers. At worst, it's a way to guarantee safe attack triggers, even late in the game when you dont have quality choices to attack with your commander. With a baseline of guaranteeing "get on...

Re: Esika Oath Control - Brainstorming
Not sure if he's explosive enough for you, but I think given bridge's wording ("card") you could play the walker half of Valki, God of Lies. Bonus that he doesn't totally suck if he's in your starting hand.

Re: Esika Oath Control - Brainstorming
I recommended it a while back when you didn't say anything, but I think Asmodeus the Archfiend is as close to explosive card draw to Consecrated Sphinx and Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur that you'll get. Maybe it's too mana-intensive? But BBBB: draw 7 is a pretty strong rate.

Re: Grenzo, Dungeon Warden - The Slot Machine of Value
I think its a great idea, I'm going to try it out. there are a lot of 4 toughness creatures that can lock Grenzo out like Dauthi Voidwalked (3/2) or Drannith Magistrate (1/3) I personally included Ravenous Chupacabra for this specific reason as having only 1 creature removal with Meteor Golem is no...

Re: Esika Oath Control - Brainstorming
I guess your sweepers should probably be either Duneblast, In Garruk's Wake, or the white ones where everyone chooses one, and destroys the rest (Tragic Arrogance is one, but I know there are a few others, and I think the white gearhulk does it too). Lets you keep esika, destroy the rest.
