Hmm. Looks like I'll have to rewrite part of the extension.
sorry, I've been training on how to QA software at work and it's making me hypersensitive to this stuff :)

The site is seriously working wonderfully across the board.

Re: Yarok, the Desecrated - ETB Value, Pod, & Infinite Mana

snapcaster mage is pretty bad in edh unless you're playing a huge number of instants and sorceries. I play it in two decks: 1) Inalla - who has a pretty good reason to want it, since I will on occasion double snap ponder/preordain or snap fact+counterspell. And is playing like 40 spells. 2) Ephara,...

Re: [Deck Tech] Help me Improve My Commander Deck!

My 1st EDH deck was built around OG Teysa, Orzhov Scion. Over the years, I've made adjustments, doubling down on synergy, but as I've focused more on synergistic cards, I've ended up in a position where many individual cards are just super weak unless I have some board state. I had focused on a som...

Re: (MCD) Birthing Pod combos

Your pod chain with karmic guide is awesome, that's the one I was missing. :) I missed it in the second paragraph after the "both tana and tymna" chain which I didn't dig. I obviously agree with the assessment of why 3 mana persist creatures aren't played and understanding the felidar/karm...

Re: Point List

Is it possible to have a points list as a "variant" to EDH? maybe call one EDH and the other commander? Or maybe instead of a banlist or points list, it's a restricted list? So you can have max 1 of anything that appears on the restricted list? I think my ideal points list starts out as a...

Quote hover behavior

I noticed when I am reading a post and select some text, the quote button pops up - which is great. However, when I click the cursor on text again to clear the highlight, the hovering quote button does not hide as expected. I can click to the side out of the text window to hide it again. I would exp...

Re: (MCD) Birthing Pod combos

I think putting together all the Birthing Pod chains in one place would be great! It might have to be a team effort though, since there are so many different things you can do with it. Also, I'm don't not sure if it makes sense to focus only on combos that you can execute in one turn... for example...

Re: Commander 2019 Speculation

I expect a crazy value explosion this year. WOTC is notorious for over-correcting in whichever direction they go and after the jank last year I think they'll probably pack these things. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see one big dollar card (e.g. Oracle of Mul Daya in each). If you wanted my off ...

It can be done in a couple of minutes with smart play patterns and quick shuffling. It should require fewer than ten iterations, each one becoming faster as the deck shrinks and becomes more saturated with lands.
Oh I don't doubt it I just wouldn't want to make a habit out of it. :P

Re: Topical Discussion of the Official Multiplayer Ban List

I think at one point in the history of commander the "play more answers" rhetoric had some value but I think these days it's just basically caricature that doesn't exist. Everyone I see has removal these days even the most casual decks. As an argument it mostly lines up with most "git...

Re: Is 4 Horsemen socially acceptable in cEDH?

First, let me say that Gitrog combos (with a discard outlet, cleanup is a discussion for another time) are not, in any way, shape or form, equivalent to Four Horsemen They are completely legal, even in tournament. The section of the rules that axed 4H says that if you reach an identical game state ...

Re: Post PE Metagame

Lets take your example: Flash - Hulk = 2 Cards in Hand, 2 Mana, Instant Speed Scepter - Reversal = 2 Cards in Hand, 3 Mana not in lands, Multiple places for people to interact or disrupt specific pieces The cost for the latter is so much less intensive than Flash Hulk will ever be. I'm not trying t...

Re: Post PE Metagame

A Flash ban would basically just help loosen the grip of Thrasios/Tymna in the format and give some power and meta share back to decks that actually use their commanders in interesting and unique ways. Are you sure about this? Thrasios/Tymna seem like a pretty optimal combination if 3 of the best c...

Re: Post PE Metagame

Are there any meaningful statistics? The one tidbit from the Flash SCD is that Hulk is in 73% of Flash decks, but Flash is only in 21% of hulk decks. Which suggests that Flash is very rarely played outside of CEDH - although there were a few folks who chimed in (and Flash is only in around 200 decks...

(MCD) Birthing Pod combos

Birthing Pod So, since Felidar Guardian came out, I really liked the concept of the chain of 3 CMC persist creature → Kiki combo in Pod. It costs 9 mana total. Fundamentally I don't think this specific combo is probably good enough in CEDH but it just got me thinking about having a pod thread - so ...

Re: Having Your Voice Heard

It's a hot-button topic, sure. But discussing whether or not it should be banned is not the same as discussing how the RC can give the cEDH community a sense that they are seen and heard on their concerns. Thread's just going to end up locked again. :( My reading of the discussion was more of a met...

Re: Having Your Voice Heard

Why are we talking about Flash again? Because people find it relevant to discussion of the divide between competitive and non-competitive EDH, and how that relates to the banlist philosophy. Flash is a great card for testing whether the banlist philosophy can be safely tweaked the way many CEDH pla...

Re: [SCD] Flash

I have played it casually for a long time in a non-degenerate way, alongside Scout's Warning , Leyline of Anticipation and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir . I like having instant speed creatures. There are about 200 decks out of 110000 that can play it on EDHrec, so I think this is a pretty rare thing. But...

Re: Yarok, the Desecrated - ETB Value, Pod, & Infinite Mana

I like this a lot. Most of my adjustments would be with the 2 CMC ramp package but I like almost every card in there in some way. I think you'll find long term that dorks and 3-drop ramp are the way to go with this deck, and being able to play bane of progress with fewer issues will be worth it. Tha...

I made a point over on the Having Your Voice Heard thread which includes an articulation of why a split list doesn't work. I don't want to retype it here, so if you'd like details, please head over to that thread. TLDR version: a split list doesn't work unless one list contains all the stuff on the...

Ah, I didn't notice you didn't have DT already. But yes I think DT is fine, I usually run it before MT myself (depending on the deck; MT better in decks with miracles). I mostly agree with your assessment of the glut of 4-drops. Solemn is the weakest. mostly I think I would run skullwinder spawnbrok...

Re: Prospect of a cEDH Committee on MTGNexus

What the ban list looks like depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Need to start with the principles of CEDH.

Honestly I think crafting a principles document is something that should be done for CEDH even independent of a banlist.
