Re: Lord Windgrace
Sac outlets: to be fair, this deck probably needs them less than, say, my Karador deck. But Miren and Diamond Valley are the two main ones due to the life gain. Their interaction with Ulvenwald Hydra and Multani has been nothing short of stellar. With the addition of Omnath, I want all four to make ...

Re: Who wants some swords?
If you do want to go with Boros (I mentioned Thassa above since you mentioned Urza), I think the Tiana suggestion is pretty good. Gerrard isn't bad to include in there either. I do have a deck built around Gisela that is focused on equipment. That list is here . It likely isn't exactly what you are ...

Re: Who wants some swords?
It might not be the most ideal deck, but I used to have a Thassa, God of the Sea deck that did decently well with the Swords package you are talking about. The list is here . I ended up taking her apart for a variety of reasons but I always had fun playing her. And you can certainly tweak the deck t...

Re: Lord Windgrace
I am holding off on Chandra for now due partly to the mana cost. It seems that it is mostly her +2 that is any good. A "sweeper" that deals 3 damage doesn't do a lot and targeted damage is fine, but it can't it a player. Her +2 might be good enough to include, but 6 mana makes that tough. ...

Re: Alela, Artful Provocateur
I hadn't thought of Divine Visitation but I am not sure I like it. It is a 5 drop that takes a bit to cast and doesn't do anything when it enters the field. Now, obviously, if this is left unchecked, it can get out of hand pretty quickly. But, I think a bigger question ends up being "does the d...

Re: Help me find a list of all cards?
Try this link to open it in Google Sheets. It should work on your phone: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GXlVMssfWhEDDrrdx4k0aWghvTAPSxBX/view?usp=sharing EDIT: Or, I suppose the site can open it for you. That is kind of cool and I didn't know it did that. It still might not show it exactly, but it...

Re: Help me find a list of all cards?
WolfWhoWanders What sort of layout are you actually looking for? Do you just want a spreadsheet of card names? Do you want any other columns? I attached a sample sheet with Beta as the only set for now. Are you looking for something more complex or with more detail or would this s...

Re: Alela, Artful Provocateur
Erebos might be high on cost, but the life payment should be close to irrelevant with Alela gaining me life. Interestingly, the "opponents can't gain life" ability might not be super relevant either since I plan on winning with Commander Damage most of the time. But, I like him for being a...

With the current discussions, and points being made, I have decided to make a number of changes: CUTS 1 Farhaven Elf 1 Ravenous Chupacabra 1 Realm Seekers 1 Borborygmos Enraged 1 Wave of Vitriol ADDS 1 Omnath, Locus of Rage 1 Cavalier of Night 1 Underrealm Lich 1 Lotus Cobra 1 Nissa, Voice of Zendik...

After the excellent discussions above, I have decided to make the following changes. I am also also noting the previous changes I neglected to record: CUTS 1 Sword of Truth and Justice 1 Sword of Light and Shadow 1 Sword of Sinew and Steel 1 Sigil of the Empty Throne 1 Plains 1 Island 1 Empyrean Eag...

Re: Lord Windgrace
Hmm, I am iffy on Lumberjack personally as like you I do not like sacc'ing my lands. I really like world breaker and you'd have to pry that from my cold dead hands I think. Cutting one of the huge guys is probably right for that (Multani feels kinda boring to me, personally) if you're gonna do it. ...

Re: Lord Windgrace
Well, that is 3 mentions of Garruk so maybe I would be better served by at least trying him out first. I initially felt that his overrun wouldn't be as relevant but I do have a lot of small-ish creatures that can still do some damage with +3/+3 and trample. Obviously his +1 is super good in this dec...

Re: Alela, Artful Provocateur
Hey no problem. It looks like you ended up using it almost exactly as I expected it to be used, since it was the same way I used it. As for Moat, I like it. It would also give me a reason to use one of mine :) I am not big into "prison" effects in general, but I think the synergy with the ...

Re: Lord Windgrace
I like big value plays, and Windgrace can certainly perform them well, but I feel like it's not a good enough game plan on its own. My Windgrace list does several things differently to yours: 1. There's more early game stuff, and you'd be surprised at how incredibly effective it can be despite bein...

Horror of the Broken Lands
You will Scry first. This is because the first thing you do when activating Cycling (or any ability) is put it onto the stack. Then, once everything it done to activate it, Curator triggers and goes on top of the stack which is on top of the Cycling ability on the stack.

Re: Alela, Artful Provocateur
Well, Wrath of God and Damnation are still seen quite a bit. Especially with Wrath of God being relatively cheap. And Toxic Deluge is seen a bit as well. It is actually the only mass removal spell I play in this deck due to how efficient it is. But, I didn't mean to suggest that Regeneration isn't a...

Re: Alela, Artful Provocateur
You already have lifelink so Loxodon Warhammer doesn't seem like a good add; I would recommend Sword of Vengeance . You have deathtouch, which combos with the trample; vigilance so you can block and first strike to make yourself one hell of a roadblock. That is good. Warhammer was mostly for the Tr...

Re: Alela, Artful Provocateur
I got another game in with this deck and it showed the ridiculous power of Skullclamp. I basically cast Auras and Equipment to create tokens to then 'Clamp to draw cards and just used Alela to beat down. I did get down Bitterblossom on turn two as well so that gave me even more fodder for drawing. I...

Re: Lord Windgrace
I played this deck the other night but I don't remember all the details of the game, so I am just going to give a highlight of some of the better plays of the game. The game started off with me getting attacked by the Omnath, Locus of Rage player with Kalonian Hydra and Savageborn Hydra for about 12...

Re: Alela boats, swords and o-rings
I like that idea too. It also solves a small problem with a voltron-esque deck like this where you don't want to draw your auras and equipment without something to put them on so you can ensure you get a different card if you don't have a board presence at the time.

Re: Alela boats, swords and o-rings
Saving Grace is probably the main omission I see. I have only played my Alela deck 5 or 6 times but Saving Grace was instrumental in winning half of those. Attaching it to a Faerie token, which dies, and then bringing it back with Hall of Heliod's Generosity means that you go get a "fog" ...

Re: Varina, Lich Queen
How has Mission Briefing been? I came really close to adding it to my build purely because it's so easy to lose removal if you're not careful with Varina's looting abililty. Ultimately I decided I had enough redundancy, but if it does good work it might be worth another look. I don't know yet since...

I knew so many people with foil modern decks everywhere, they will go nowhere. They will stay in modern + begin with Pioneer. But Noone of them will sell their decks, only ones which they don't played long time. Last fnm I was on a store with 15 people and 5 of them was fully foiled, they will stay...
