@CunningGabe I'm not sure this card is feasible with the rules as currently printed. There is no noncreature card with outlast, and there isn't anything that indicates outlast could be printed on noncreatures (That I've seen. I could be wrong.)
I can confirm that currently outlast can only go on creatures:
CR (WOE) wrote: 702.107a Outlast is an activated ability. "Outlast [cost]" means "[Cost], {T}: Put a +1/+1 counter on this creature. Activate only as a sorcery."
There have been noncreature cards with +1/+1 counter, such as Llanowar Reborn, so I could see outlast being extended to noncreatures too, but as of this moment, that isn't the case.

Yeah, I went and looked it up after marioguy3's comment and saw the same. Obviously we "create" new rules all the time when we make cards, and it's not hard to imagine that Wizards would update outlast to say "permanent" instead of "creature" in order to allow a design like mine. But in any case, I cede the point that my design intent was perhaps ambiguous :)

Putting the call out once again for a volunteer to host the November CCL - even if you've never done so before, I'm here to make the process easy! It's fun and a great thing to do for your fellow CCC fans.

Would a colorless artifact that creates more than just zombies be an option. I'm thinking of a throwback that needs updating.

Yes, colorless cards aren't any color, so they'd be an option for creating either token in the challenge. And as long as at least one of the tokens specified in the challenge is created, the card can have any other effects.

@void_nothing
I have a question.
Shouldn't round 2 have started by now? I don't see a thread for it.

I've been under the weather (can't remember last time I had a virus). We critique on the round one thread then round two can begin. Is that right? If so I will try to do so tonight.

I don't know.
No one has evaluated anything yet and I wanted to wait for others to see what an evaluation entails.
In the schedule it looks like we should give our evaluations after round 2.

This card is probably broken. It's a treasure hoser that's hard to remove, accumulating treasures is stronger than just getting mana and you don't even need to give treasures to your opponents because it has the tapping for colorless fallback. The name and the flavor text are very good.
Since I don't play constructed anymore except for the occasional casual commander, I might have miscalculated the power level here and how prevalent treasure strategies are.
My thought process was that the opponents don't lose anything by getting the treasures and not using them and the potential of ramping the opponents into a wincon where your zombies end up not mattering would be enough of a downside. I guess I should have at least not added the normal mana ability.

Design five tricolor mythic rare cards.
@kwanyeegor-ii The challenge states that the cards must be Mythic Rare.

" For example, you can have Ajani appear in Eldritch Moon or Geyadrone Dihada in The Brothers' War.
Make sure to include a rarity."

We name the set right? I know it's silly question but just trying to clarify since explaining the card normally isn't allow.

That's up to your discretion. Note that the CCL doesn't actually have a rule against including text other than card text in entry posts.

We don't have CCL this month, right?

No thread is posted at the moment. I will have to start the CCL late given how busy the end of December has been. If you would prefer to host the contest last minute please go ahead!

Guess I can do that.

Just remind me, what score translates into this month's contest from previous months?

Just a reminder to all that even if you didn't play in the first round of the January CCL, you can still freely enter round 2!
