Parallel Thoughts

just a quick question: Can an exhausted Parallel Thoughts still replace a draw? can you use it to prevent losing via decking? thanks!
(found a really funny side angle in my bad Korlessa deck and rediscovered this card because of it!)

Gatherer rulings are really convenient.

10/4/2004 You can choose to take the top card from the pile (and not draw) even if there are no cards in the pile. This allows you to skip draws.
