It's honestly pretty wild that the MSRP for a (draft) pack has remained $4 since what, 2006? Especially with recent increases in global shipping costs due to the pandemic and other factors, their margins on draft packs have probably gotten increasingly slim. Sure, they've been shifting focus to Set Boosters which likely have a slightly larger margin due to higher list price and fewer cards (though this is likely somewhat offset by the need for additional printing sheets and collation plus higher foil frequency), but a $.25-.50 price hike on draft boosters eventually was inevitable.
