That was a great first episode, it sets up the rest of series well, and gets everyone up to speed on what happened to Loki in the "Sacred Timeline". It also explains why the TVA did not intervene against the Avengers when they time travel, as well as set the stage for the current Loki to eventually have his heel face turn, much like his "sacred timeline" counterpart did. And it does explain why Loki does and did what Loki does and did, it's much of what drives the story in the first episode.

All in all, I am looking forward to seeing more episodes, it is really, really good.
