If I tap my Kalamax to pay for the Chord of Calling use the convoke part, do I copy the Chord of Calling?

Yes, you would. Spells are considered cast, and triggers occur based of that, at the end of the casting process. Since Kalamax is tapped during the paying of costs, he will be tapped when his ability attempts to trigger and he will copy the spell.
