I know this is early but PlayMTG posted a MagicCon: Las Vegas poster and it did show a small nugget of story info;

Kaito, with Pompon, will be here, as a planeswalker or omenpath traveler we will see.

The glasses clearly point to that being Zimone, I think, even though the art shows her apparently aged up. That makes sense if she was a young teenager in her first(?) year of tertiary school in 4561 AR and it should be 4565 or later by the time Duskmourn's story takes place, making her 18-19.

The nerdy girl usually does well in horror films but, well, good luck being a plucky ingenue in a plane like Duskmourn, Z! :p

Yeah it was noted she was the "child genius who skips head" and I wanna say 14-16 years old.

Also might make some fun conflict if the magic of Duskmourn is more chaotic then the more logical focused magic of Quadrix, showing how fear and overpower logic.

Also, remains to be seen who the androgynous person with the... ghost-detecting bowie knife?... is, but they definitely look straight out of the 80s.

I'm digging how the androgynous character outfit feels like something you'd see a character wear in a fantasy/ Sci Fi 80's movie / book cover then real life.

Prediction: The main villain of the Duskmourn storyline is Duskmourn - like the house itself is malevolent a la The Shining.

I agree. Reposting my prediction from the overall story arc thread I think the plane/house used to feed on planeswalkers who would get trapped there and now gets to glut on the influx of people falling through from omenpaths.

If that's the case, it may be unexplained why that is, or I could see one of several explanations being part of the lore: An egregore of many cruel and hateful souls, a Griselbrand power level-like demon who can't take physical form but can cause the "hauntings", or possibly the remaining influence of a pre-Mending planeswalker if Duskmourn turns out to be an artificial plane. I can also see the resolution being the house getting purified, temporarily pacified, or just escaped.
