I rarely swear in posts and only just now saw my swearword getting censored. This reads much more obnoxious to me than just seeing the swear word.

Is there an option in the user panel to turn of word filters, and if not could this be added?

User control panel → Board Preferences → Edit Display Options
ucp.php?i=ucp_prefs&mode=view

"Enable Word Censor" which is on by default.
