You'd think she'd bother to acknowledge Der Zauberlehrling in her card tweet but no. Ah well. Time to check off yet another blatant reference in MTG Shrek Land.

Shrek stole from the Grimm Brothers. So Shrek is a very unimaginative frenchise...

I say more Into the Woods then Shrek, but hey not everyone has the class to know Wolfgang von Goethe or Sondheim.

Most people are probably thinking of Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice in Fantasia.

Oh on subject with cards
With the sorcerers broom we got another
ashnod's altar infinite
This + altar + a token doubler = ifinite colorless or death/sac triggers
Three brooms sac 2 for
cccc use 3 To activate the broom and with the token double that's two more so you can do that as long as you need to win the game

My point exactly. Shrek is a collage of various fairy tale characters all jammed together in one place, and this feels kind of similar to that.

Apprentice will likely get into my
Phenax, God of Deception. For devotion purposes, I find it important to have a few one drops. I like that this one can help my card flow with the scry and that it mills a little to make turn 4
Sewer Nemesis better.
Probably better than one of the 1cmc 0/4 creatures I have in the deck.

And yet Shrek is a very successful franchise, so maybe Throne of Eldraine could be a success too.

Add a Heartstone, and you gain CC each iteration of the loop instead of only C.
Edit: Nevermind, I misread the card.

Heartstone has absolutely no interaction with this combo. The broom has a triggered ability, not an activated one.

You are correct. I misread the card. My bad.
