I have a handful of pretty optimized decks and I put tons of thought and playtesting into them, except for one--Selvala, heart of the wilds.
It's a cheap deck (relatively speaking) and I threw in random big creatures and for some reason, it consistently outperforms most of my other decks. I love playtesting new decks against my old decks and when I build a deck I'm sure is brilliant, Selvala rips it to pieces. Every time. When I look at the decklist, I see no reason why it smashes my other decks. It's annoying.
