Good question! My original concept was "face up" based on the idea that you reveal your face-down creature at that point naturally to prove it has a morph ability anyway. Considering this now, you could write it so it remains face-down as a morph into foretell, which has some benefits with regards to complexity created by public information.
My main concern with exiling it face down (or more accurately: keeping it face down while exiling it) is that you have an event that gets replaced by an ability the card doesn't reveal to have. I'm not confident the rules can/want to handle this.
