Failure was one of those bands that opened unknown corridors to me as a listener when I encountered them. I also absolutely adore Fantastic Planet, that album is unbelievable. Crucially, it still holds up on the sheer quality of content alone after borderline excessive influence spelunking explained most of the band's wobbly harmonic choices. I'd have to go with "The Nurse Who Loved Me" here, in spite of its relative simplicity, as that melody is just such an earworm.

Thanks for reminding me of their existence.

The dragon percon and my rat deck (this will at least stay sleeved,if not intact)

so in rresponse to this

I said Tribal: To the left and Tribal: To the right and I think i came up with two insane decks

so, I took a part all but the dragon per-con,I left the lands and rats sleeved. Only two decks had Sol rings. The binder is organized by deck,so if i want to, I can quickly put the deck back together. Now to figure out what deck I want to build.

Why not? I could just go RW or RWB and use orlo, blue also lets me use Sun Quan, Lord of Wu

Isn't Ruhan a soldier? (I could spend two seconds answering my own question, but meh.)

I don't have him and he's a Giant Warrior

The RWU legends I do have available are the following:

Zedruu the Greathearted
jodah, archmage eternal
Numot, the devastator

I could also go WU with Daxos and make either a solider token,or voltron build.

Boros will have most of your soldiers and payoffs, but kykar could work if you want to add blue for any reason. You would want to lean heavier on non- creature spells that make soldier tokens and anthems to buff them. Use the spirits as ramp, or use Arcane adaptation, xenograft, standardize, you make them soldiers.

Adding blue does give you kindred discovery, which could name spirit or soldier to great effect in a kykar soldier token build. You also get mirrorweave which could target one of your soldier lords before combat damage on an alpha strike with your fliers.

Most soldiers are in white, followed by red. After that there's some support in each color, but not as much as the first two. I was just curious if there was a specific reason you were married to blue there. Especially if it related to a theme or something.

Like, if you were going for a Team America feel on the colors, perhaps Ruhan or Zedruu could fill in depending on what thematic aspect you were focusing on. You might also be able to look at the partner commanders. Akiri is a soldier herself, and some artifact support is inevitable through equipment, buffs, and mana rocks. For the blue half there's a bit less luck, but Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker is at least partially thematic, while either RU partner commander will at least give you some card draw, though neither are really thematic.

If blue was just for some side support, perhaps you could be tempted over to Green instead. While all the colors have soldier cards in them, green has the most soldier support:
https://scryfall.com/search?q=c%3E%3Dg+ ... order=name
Green also gives you things like Glare of Subdual and Earthcraft//Cryptolith Rite to do more stuff with the soldiers, or Aura Shards to pop things off when you make soldiers. WRG is also easier to find commanders in, as it has a lot of token support (Gahiji, Honored One, Ghired, Conclave Exile , Marisi, Breaker of the Coil) - though sadly the Commanders themselves seem to all be warriors in WRG, and no soldiers to be seen.

You could also go all out and do both Green and Blue, Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis is a soldier. Morophon, the Boundless is also whatever you want him to be if you want to go even further.

I think I may go with Zed,and see what I can pull together from my collection. I do have orlo,he's a soldier and he'd give me access to tutors.

CEDH Reddit:

Dear Sheldon,

Why don't you do all your AMAs on Reddit?!
CEDH reddit, answering its own question:

With such gems as:
Whats worst is the fact that they arent accountable. They cant be fired, removed or replaced. They do whatever they want, however they want and dont really care about community. Not cEDH community, but whole community. It feels like it is way to big for them but they wont leave it because they get money out of it.

Someone should probably let @Sheldon know he's supposed to be getting paid for this.

Edit: I'm actually sorry I clicked on that link.

This one is quite a bit cessier than usual for some reason.

It makes me pretty proud of our moderation staff and our users in general how cordial our AMA was :)

Pretty much. I've had some decent conversations on Reddit in the past, but this linked thread was by large the stereotypical "Reddit cesspool" that drives people away. One user in particular was using profanity in their displeasure that the AMA was held here as opposed to Reddit. I think they probably answered their own question.

Yea, that was the one that jumped out at me.

I want to see Sheldon buy up like 1,000 copies of Recurring Nightmare and then unban it so that he gets his pay.

Thankfully I don't think that's super likely but in my opinion even the vague scent of someone manipulating the format for financial gain is enough to be the potential death knell for commander imho.

It's one of the things I find really nerve wracking about the concept of the CAG--all it takes is one CAG member blabbing a ban and the tide of public opinion turns pretty fast. I've said it before (in the old library thread on MTGS) but that stink would never come off.

At this point I feel like the unbanning of any reserve list card is a mistake just because of this, which is a bit of a bummer because I'd love to play with RN :)

Yeah, they act like a-holes and then wonder why they get no attention. It's actually sort of baffling that this isn't obvious to them. Couldn't help it, clicked on it myself. I know it's not representative of cEDH as a whole, but man does that community do itself no favours by acting like the human equivalent of a dumpster fire.

For some reason, acting like the human equivalent of a dumpster fire does not tend to go hand in hand with self-awareness that behaviour like that is very off-putting.

I haven't checked the linked reddit thread, but the highlights were enough to keep me away from it. Reminds of that lovely freemagic or whatever it's called that got mentioned in here earlier. The beauty of echo chambers.
