The stars of Elquindis barrage the plane with rays of mana, causing this world's landscape to shift from byzantine cityscapes to tranquil tundras to dangerous, festering jungles seemingly at random. A Queen, a Prophet, an Emperor, and a Jester rule this world, with strange stitched-together borders and an unpredictable but highly poetic form of magic, and one enterprising planeswalker has arrived on what seems to be a simple trade mission.

The old days when Strixhaven school wasn't founded yet, Elder Dragons roamed the world and discovered secrets of magic that led to the first version of Mystic Archive. When the entire world was at war and magic was the most devastating, that trying time was known as Arcavios: Blood Age.
