Whenever a Dragon you control dies, you may exile that card from your graveyard. If you do, return ~ from your graveyard to its owner's hand.

So the rest were all part of the same cycle? I was not aware. But I did consider Volcanic Dragon for a while anyway.void_nothing wrote: ↑1 year agoMinor note - Covetous Dragon isn't a member of the cycle with the others, Volcanic Dragon is. I think the card would be fine as-is with the name change to Volcanic Hatchling and not break symmetry.
Well I thought so - specifically I thought you were referencing all the MM 4/4 Dragons from Mirage - but Alabaster Dragon was in Weatherlight, the one from Mirage was Pearl Dragon.SecretInfiltrator wrote: ↑1 year agoSo the rest were all part of the same cycle? Outlast works pretty well for the Combine!SecretInfiltrator wrote: ↑1 year agoCard of the Day 2022-06-27 >>

Nature has suffered under the uncontrolled expansion of the city, but it has endured nontheless.

I like Signet maybe being a type to provide an artifact twist on Gates matter for a Ravnica set. Could these ones replicate the Fetid Heath cycle's fixing ability instead of just being original signets but less-than?
I could see that. I recall considering it, but erring on the side of simplicity. Splashing double-black from mono-white is an application that might be relevant in a Ravnica-style environment.void_nothing wrote: ↑1 year agoCould these ones replicate the Fetid Heath cycle's fixing ability instead of just being original signets but less-than?
First it should be noted that the card design and reminder text predate foretell. The actual concept of this was IIRC cycling + adventure; what if you had a mechanic like cycling, but you still get to cast the spell afterwards.void_nothing wrote: ↑1 year agoHerald is cool, but what does "later" mean? Is it castable any time it's exiled or do you have to wait until your next turn similar to foretell?
