I’m here hoping the Slivers community will move from MTGSalvation to Nexus... This post is in continuation of the discussion started there
be a good card for Slivers, as a way to avoid mana flooding? Except for activating Sliver Hive, I see no reasons why we would want to ever have more than 2-3 lands. Making tokens out of extra lands could be something... but then, with 16-18 lands, that may not be necessary. SB material for when we know the games will be long?
: That card really intrigues me, as it targets a non-land permanent. This could be a case for swapping Virulent for Sidewinder, to increase the number of white creatures from 12 to 16 (while 12 is a reasonable amount of mana sources, it may not be optimal). It’s a bit slow, and sorcery speed, but it can be cast as early as turn 3, without really stopping our development.
Return to the Ranks
: Another case for Sidewinder. Most probably pure SB material for Control and Midrange matchups, if two white Slivers can stay long enough on the battlefield.
costs less than Sorcerous Spyglass
, but we don’t get to see opponent’s hand before naming a card. If we want a transformational SB, I could see us playing two of each in the SB, with 11 Sentinel/Syphon/Dregscape Slivers...
