Cataclism is great, but probably a bit too salty.

Cataclysm is really only worth the spot if you can break parity on it. I don't see how we can. Yet, anyway.

If we can't break the parity on Cataclysm (which I think I agree on), then we can't break the parity on Gearhulk no? Nay.

I like Farewell, but I'd rather see a four mana sweep. Or like a Doomskar because three mana hard sweepers are pretty good. If it makes it in, I won't be surprised but if it doesn't I...also won't be surprised 😂

Yeah, nay to Farewell here.

I think this deck is going to do better if we can take other decks down without having to rebuild from scratch entirely, and for that reason I think we want wipes we can survive in some aspect. Farewell is good because of it's finality, and I think that does more to hurt us than help us.

I think we're going to end up with a synergistic network of cards here, and if we're just wiping it all away in one fell swoop we're gonna struggle to come out of the game well. Austere we can work around. Deluge too, Tragic to some degree, Winds is one-sided. Farewell is no respecter of boundaries whatsoever, it will wreck us like anyone else. That's my take on it.

I'll nay Farewell, too. Clearly a busted card, but ya know, breaking parity yada yada yada. I'd also like to mention that we didn't put up Casualties of War in the removal section and we should all hang our heads in shame.

Wow, both the cards for the day got nay'd out. I think that's a first. I think this is what I expected in the beginning, to be more discriminatory towards suggestions.

Let's try again, we're at 2/3 sweeper slots with @Dunharrow and @aliciaofthevast on the clock.

This card is not good for the same reason Decimate|ody is not good, though it trades forced targets for being six mv.

Pernicious Deed
because I want this to be a Sun Titan deck
and because it is still pretty good.

I like Pernicious Deed. Great against token decks, recurrable.with Sun Titan and we have a certain degree of control over what we're destroying. Yay.

I like Deed, and unlike Cataclysm it's clear to me that we do have the propensity to break the symmetry of it. Kinda funny it's less than the price of a pack. I'd like our only sweeper that isn't six mana or requesting a huge life payment to be a bit more straight forward, and that's why I lean towards Doomskar more I think. There's something to be said for foretelling this and just sitting on it until you need to blow it. I thin for this reason, I'll yay Doomskar before I yay Deed.

Pernicious Deed yay - 1 nay - 0
Doomskar yay - 1 nay - 0

Whoops, I forgot to put someone on the clock this morning. @toctheyounger finishes out this cycle of names while we'll set @RxPhantom on to start the next cycle. I think we probably have the sweepers on lock now, so I imagine the next important stuff for this pair is sac outlets before synergy. Because I know that no one is selecting an altar over [pet card], that's just not how these things have historically worked. Let's shoot for four sac outlet slots, I imagine that's a good percentage to make sure at least one sticks.

Ok, I can see the rationale for both of those sweepers. Yea to both.

I'll nominate Carrion Feeder. It does what it says on the tin for the lowest possible price.

I was almost going to say I like derpy old Culling Dais more and then I realized carrion feeder even does what Nikara wants on it's own! Well that was an easy yay.

Obviously Deed is going to make it in, and I'm so happy to see Doomskar getting positive responses. It's been so good to me since Kaldheim 🥰

Yeah, I will say I don't think outside of a fairly select offering I don't think we need to worry too much about sacrifice loops. The saffi pile is pretty well layered into an ETB shell anyway outside of Saffi herself. But it's still nice to have it covered off I guess.

P-Deed and Carrion Feeder have been confirmed. Still have the other sweeper in the chamber that seems to keep getting ignored that we need some discussion on.

Continuing with sac outlet slots, we're at 1/4 as we'll put @Dunharrow and @aliciaofthevast on the clock.

Pernicious Deed yay - 3 nay - 0
Carrion Feeder yay - 3 nay - 0

Doomskar yay - 2 nay - 0

I think the expectation was that we would suggest Altars but I don't think this is an altar deck. I looked through my Reyhan deck and found 5 sac outlets I think would be great in this deck (and also two devour creatures but they aren't outlets really)
I am going to nominate Ghave, Guru of Spores. It combos with everything, which may or may not be a good think. but it is also a really good card in this deck. You can make chains of sac creature, put a counter on a dude, sac that dude, put a counter on another.... and effectively draw a million cards off our general.

I will yay doomskar by the way. sweepers are great in our deck.

Hmmm. In that light does that mean the pick is Spawning Pit? Yay to Ghave at least.

Hmm. What happened? Did the deck get boring?

At any rate, I'll yay both Ghave and Spawning Pit (now there's a card I haven't seen in years).

We could go for Woe Strider. Brings a goat, synergizes with our deck plan and is all around a great card.

I worked three 12-hour shifts and slept until 1pm today. I have to admit that I'm not all that excited about this deck. I'm still gonna do my damndest though.

Yay to Ghave, Spawning Pit, and Doomskar.

If I may make my nomination a day late, I'll go with Sidisi, Undead Vizier. Saccing a creature to tutor anything seems pretty good, as does the deathtouch.

I am going to Yay Sidisi because she's great, but will note that this is definitely not a sac outlet. Though with a flicker theme I guess she can become one?
*Ponders the meaning of being a sac outlet*
