I don't know what sort of person will be happy that Ichormoon Gauntlet exists, but I bet they prefer spectators to participants if you catch my drift.
Reads the first part…

Rolls eyes

Reads the second part

Audibly groans

Reads that last ability

Vomits

Cankerbloom will every set have a variation of this card? This is pretty good

Cathar Commando Haywire Mite and the recent werewolf were also great. Amazing cards

I've been saying for years they need to stop proliferate working on loyalty. There is no damn reason it should be a counter. It's so dumb

Honestly, I dont really think its going to be THAT much of an issue. Panharmonicon with it might be a bit overwhelming but other than Anointed Procession white has weird overall token production. I might use it in my Trostani but in that deck I dont use panharmonicon either. Admittedly with a body Panharmonicon is MUCH better as a card. The second bit of text is a bit more worrying, but I believe we have seen this before as well and really hasn't seen as much play as a card either. Maybe in some control shells this might get more abusive, but overall as a commander I dont see as much threat.

What I would much more worry about is the Dominus and the fairly easy to turn on indestructible we have seen so far.

Yeah, that was a joke. Some people were getting really up in arms when she got spoiled, I think she's a totally fine card that will see a moderate amount of play.

My oldest EDH deck is Godo with a dragons sub-theme and therefore I love everything about Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant.

Skyhunter strike force is definitely a card I'm considering for Tymna the Weaver/Ravos, Soultender cleric tribal. It's not a cleric and cost the same amount as Tymna, but with 2 commanders and protection it should be easy to active the lieutenant ability.

And with Tymna I'm attacking multiple opponents anyway. Giving +3/+3 to Tymna, Ravos, Changeling Outcast, Beloved Chaplain, and all my other creatures seems really good.
Current Decks
rg Morophon, the infinite Kavu Eowyn, human tribal Legolas, voltron control Wb Tymna/Ravos cleric tribal Neheb, Chicago Bulls tribal Ug Edric pauper

Retired Decks
Edgar Markov Kaalia, angel board wipes Ghen, prison Captain Sisay Ub Nymris, draw go Sarulf, voltron control Niv-Mizzet, combo Winota Sidisi, Zombie Tribal

I didn't even notice Rhuk, Hexgold Nabber get spoiled, but rarely have I been so baffled about an ability. In a world where Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist why would anyone want to play Rhuk? What are you supposed to do, pre-equip to an Ornithopter to prepare for him entering the battlefield? Bro he costs 3 lol, why would you need to prepare?

On the flip side haste and trample are great words for an equipment dude heh
Presumably you'd play stuff like batterskull and other living weapon type things to facilitate I guess

haste seems pretty meh for an equipment commander, given that you probably want to equip stuff first. Obviously his ability theoretically circumvents that, but he's so cheap that you'd have to intentionally delay casting him in order to set him up, which kinda defeats the point.

Living weapon is a good point. But them needing to attack or die means you can't suddenly chuck a batterskull onto him out of nowhere unless you can grant it haste or sacrifice it, which seems like a lot of work for a one-time mana discount.

Not sure if anyone's role/description has changed as much as Kara Vrist's. Hope we get her in a future set.

I want to use White Sun's Twilight or Their Number Is Legion into Monumental Corruption.

Armored Scrapgorger is very interesting. It doesn't necessarily replace Scavenging Ooze, but it's a mana dork that also lets you exile cards for free, which is quite nice. I would at least consider it an upgrade over Sylvan Caryatid.

Do you think there will be niche cases where you'll have to exile your own stuff and if so, would those cases affect your winning % more or less than having a 3/3 instead of a 0/2 hexproof?

I think she's not *broken* but she is obnoxious. She's a value engine that can incidentally lock some strategies out, while at the same time making herself invulnerable to some of the more common types of creature removal (Ravenous Chupacabra effects). As such, she's likely to put one player significantly ahead, and one other, effectively at random, notably behind.

Dauthi Voidwalker is often the same, if there's an aristo deck, and it's not broken, but it sucks. At the same time, she's not effective meta-level hate for ETBs, the same way Voidwalker (and Gisa, and Kalitas) make people think twice about building aristocrats. She rewards the same kind of everything-on-a-stick ETB deck that she punishes in opponents. If there are two ETB-focused decks at the table, I imagine a number of their games will come down to which drew her first.

My experience from playing with stuff like Relic of Progenitus suggests that in a four player game, the rate at which graveyards fill vastly outpaces one card per turn cycle. It's possible for it to backfire in the early game - i.e. if you go first and have a fetchland that you don't want to exile - but in the mid-to-late game, I don't expect it to be a significant issue. I suppose it could be hit by Deflecting Swat, but that seems.... extremely niche.

Losing hexproof is another thing that can matter in some games, but I think that pointing removal at mana dorks is somewhat uncommon in EDH. It certainly can happen, particularly if you're one mana away from casting your commander or some other big spell, but I feel like people usually save their removal for bigger threats. Pointing removal at grave hate is a thing though - if you really need your mana dork to survive and don't want the graveyard player to kill it, then I could see playing something less intrusive.

On the flip side, being a 3/3 attacker instead of a 0/3 defender is relevant in most games. There are plenty of situations where it is nice to have an extra attacker to carry a piece of equipment, or attack a planeswalker, or be pumped by Craterhoof Behemoth, or whatever. It does take a few turns to come online, so I wouldn't value it that highly, but it is a nice bit of versatility. I know my Animar deck is currently running both Sylvan Caryatid and Edric, Spymaster of Trest, so that's at least one deck in which having an extra attacker is relevant.

...so yeah, overall, I would say my mental math primarily comes down to 'mana dork doubles as grave hate' vs 'mana dork occasionally killed by the graveyard player', in which case I value having the grave hate. Hexproof vs +3/+0 and no defender is closer to even in a vacuum (since living to get all the counters isn't guaranteed), but it goes up in value for decks that care about attacking. 'Occasionally exiles my own stuff' doesn't factor into my math whatsoever.

....in other news, I'll note that Synthesis Pod exists, and it's no Birthing Pod.

Synthesis Pod : how can we make this NOT Birthing Pod for spells? Use your Opponent's Library, boom totally balanced :P

Though the big draw to Birthing Pod is being a self-feeding engine, which doesn't really work with spells on the stack. Not sure if this would have been broken if it used your own library or not. Definitely would have been more interesting though. Using opponents stuff is sooo hit/miss these days, even more so when it is random cards in library. But it can be used advantageously for sure.

Migloz, Maze Crusher

I'm excited about this guy because G has counter support, and there are a number of new oil counter guys in R (not sure if that color has had that much counter interaction before now). The deck probably will be too general-focused and I'll scrap it early…but I at least want to attempt the challenge.

Solphim, Mayhem Dominus is a windmill slam into my Zurzoth, Chaos Rider deck. I'm getting several good damage multipliers these last few sets. Hoping the non-combat damage clause keep this card modest in price as it is exactly what I need.

Conduit of Worlds is another high on my wish list. I needed another low mv effect for Titania, Protector of Argoth and was expecting it on a creature, but I'll take it on an artifact with a bit of topdeck protection.

I'm liking most of the Dominus creatures. Powerful, but not overtly broken. Similar to the Defiliers that I also really liked. Mondrak, Glory Dominus is also on my list, but might be out of budget since there aren't many of these effects floating around. My brother will love Drivnod, Carnage Dominus in Teysa Karlov as redundancy for Teysa, with indestructible to boot!
