Psst, check the second page of Custom Card Contests & Games! Because of the daily contests, a lot of games fall down to there.

I don't understand how Golos/FotD is Gross and not having an Oko on turn 2 and Nissa on turn 3 is not.
Ertai, Wizard Adept counts as a Wizard.

One of the reasons WotC started Play Design was because of a slew of bans in Standard. Now, we have the first ban during its tenure. I wonder what kind of discussions are being had behind closed doors?

I feel very conflicted with banning field. Personally I like the design and what it did to control in standard. On the otherhand it felt like it removed control from the format and became the only midrange type deck. The remainder of the field seemed to be finding ways to kill the Field decks and the decks that beat the decks that beat field.
So, I guess I am ok with field going. But I think Field was printed as an answer to grindy planeswalker control decks which feel like we go back to unfortunately. I guess time will tell, I was really hoping for more than just a field ban personally. I would have personally liked to see hitting some of the better ramp of the format and possibly Teferi, Oko or both of them.

Rarely these days because I don't like the things they are making but I have bought something like 1,100 packs on arena. I really dislike planeswalkers though and the current standard format felt like it was Golas, aggro, and walkers.deck (most of them being Oko, Teferi, or Nissa). I didn't play Field decks myself really but I appreciated their existence in the format from the standpoint that it felt like there was something other than out aggroing control out there.Cow31337Killer wrote: ↑4 years agoDo you play standard?ISBPathfinder wrote: ↑4 years agoI feel very conflicted with banning field. I bought into arena right after the first set of this newest ravnica block released and it looked really sweet. I just haven't really appreciated their card design and what they have pushed since that point.
Lots of my excitement for arena was based on the unknown that was historic. They have downplayed the format a lot more since then as well as my own enjoyment of the current standard being deep in the decline since that point.
