Player gained control of opponent's Archfiend of Sorrows with the first chapter of The Akroan War, then later they exiled Archfiend with Phantom Steed. Long after Saga was gone, a player destroyed the Steed.
1. Does Archfiend returns to its owner, or to the player that has stolen it? Who is the controller for the purpose of ETB?
2. Does the Saga player keeps the control indefinietly now, or does Archfiend returns to its owner?
3. Would it be different if the effect that stole the Archfiend was something like Entrancing Melody?

1) The card in exile doesn't have a controller; just an owner. And the owner is the person who started the game with it in their deck. And since Steed doesn't say otherwise, the exiled card will be returned under the control of the owner, not the person who last controlled the card before it left the field.

2) Once it leaves play, the Saga loses track of it. The object in exile is a different object than the one that was on the field. And the object on the field when it returns is again a different object. The Saga no longer affects it.

3) No. It doesn't really matter what stole it. Once it leaves the field, nothing changing control of it tracks it.
