A new month has begin and thus it's time for another MCC! This means we'll need 3-4 judges to handle the contest. If you've judged before here or on MTGSalvation just post that you're interested. If you've never judged before, it's easy - there's a rubric ready for you to follow.

Design
(X/3) Appeal - Do the different player psychographics (Timmy/Johhny/Spike) have a use for the card?
(X/3) Elegance - Is the card easily understandable at a glance? Do all the flavor and mechanics combined as a whole make sense?

Development
(X/3) Viability - How well does the card fit into the color wheel? Does it break or bend the rules of the game? Is it the appropriate rarity?
(X/3) Balance - Does the card have a power level appropriate for contemporary constructed/limited environments without breaking them? Does it play well in casual and multiplayer formats? Does it create or fit into a deck/archetype? Does it create an oppressive environment?

Creativity
(X/3) Uniqueness - Has a card like this ever been printed before? Does it use new mechanics, ideas, or design space? Does it combine old ideas in a new way? Overall, does it feel "fresh"?
(X/3) Flavor - Does the name seem realistic for a card? Does the flavor text sound professional? Do all the flavor elements synch together to please Vorthos players?

Polish
(X/3) Quality - Points deducted for incorrect spelling, grammar, and templating.
(X/2) Main Challenge (*) - Was the main challenge satisfied? Was it approached in a unique or interesting way? Does the card fit the intent of the challenge?

Total: X/25
*An entry with 0 points here is subject to disqualification.

Since it seems like there might be a bit of a judge shortage and none of the couple designs I tried out for Round 1 really spoke to me, I'll throw my hat in.

Thank you, you're in! Most likely we'll only need one more.

Please treat me as reserve this month. I'd really prefer to play, but if I'm needed to judge, I will.

I think I'll try my hand at judging.
Judgment

Design
(1.5/3) Appeal - Timmy doesn't see much here. Johnny might get some mileage out of the ability to tap opponent's lands combined with cards that punish tapped lands. Spike can appreciate how efficient this is.
(3/3) Elegance - A simple card, and the two activated abilities do mirror each other in a pleasing way.

Development
(2.5/3) Viability
- 1/1's for U with flying with additional upside have precedence. Tapping lands is something blue can do, and then green cost on the mana ability lets it fit within the pie. It feels like it could be an uncommon, but that land tapping ability is not something one wants to see in limited too often, so rare is fine.
(0.5/3) Balance - This card is incredibly cruel. Rishadan Port is a potent card already, and it at least requires sinking a mana in addition to tapping itself. This lets you set an opponent behind 1 mana for as long as it sticks around without investing any mana beyond casting it, which one can do on their first turn.

Creativity
(1/3) Uniqueness
- A flying faerie isn't anything new, but these abilities mirrored on one card is a bit different.
(1.5/3) Flavor - A blue faerie... druid? Even with the mana ability, this feels weird. The name works at least. There's definitely room for flavor text as well.

Polish
(3/3) Quality
- Looks correct.
(2/2) Main Challenge (*) - Satisfied
(2/2) Subchallenges - Satisfied

Total: 17/25
*An entry with 0 points here is subject to disqualification.
