Split second.
Counter target spell unless its controller reveals a card with same mana cost from their hand or graveyard. If that spell is countered this way, its controller can't cast spells with the same name for the rest of the game.

ooft, this is very... law. This almost feels like a lock once you untap with it, as it entirely locks your opponent from playing spells on their turn? Lack of flying is a bit off too.vishamon wrote: ↑2 years agoIsperia, Ace Attorney

Neat. Exploring more of that design space, probably seems balanced, if a bit... unoriginal.
lol. Actually an interesting kind of Fateful Hour-esque mechanic (at least possibly if reworded/expanded).Cythare wrote: ↑2 years agoMotion to Dismiss

Counter target spell. If that spell is countered this way, exile it instead of putting it into its owner's graveyard.
Objection — Whenever an opponent casts a spell, if its converted mana cost is greater than or equal to your life total, you may say "Objection!" and cast Motion to Dismiss from your graveyard. When you cast it this way, if Motion to Dismiss would be put into your graveyard this turn, exile it instead. (You still pay the costs to cast it.)
IIW: Six's antics after Wrenn leaves it behind
God I'd hate to play against this. This is probably about as many annoying taxes as you can slap on a single card. It does its job well, I guess, and it's probably balanced.Krishnath wrote: ↑2 years agoAzorius Prosecutor

This... seems kinda good. Flash means you can play blocking havoc + exile a guy before it hits. Given its restrictiveness, maybe comparable to Ravenous Chupacabra but exile's good, and I don't think that thing has the best impact on metagames in the first place. Also similar to Lurking Deadeye and friends, but that usually requires a trade from somewhere else. Maybe if it was "that dealt [combat] damage this turn"?spacemonaut wrote: ↑2 years agoBenalish Prosecutor

Boy this does nothing without Treasure and is very juicy with. Not sure if I see the flavour of all the abilities, but I do get the general gist.spacemonaut wrote: ↑2 years agoCorrupt Attorney
Creature — Human Advisor (R)
When Corrupt Attorney enters the battlefield, choose one for each mana from a Treasure spent to cast this spell—
• Target creature gets -3/-3 until end of turn.
• Target player discards a card and mills a card.
• Target player draws a card and loses 2 life.

Advisor tribal, oh my. It's an interesting spell but it kinda ends up just as a weird form of ramp with extra steps. While Treasure is fitting in these colours, the volume might be a bit much.
Interesting ramp hoser. It kinda turns every land into a Rupture Spire (or worse) so it probably doesn't play as badly as it reads against ordinary decks. Again, interesting.stille_nacht wrote: ↑2 years agoZoning Permits

Yeah, this is... something. The revealing from graveyard adds a bit of tension to it, but this thing definitely feels a bit... hit or miss. The second clause has oddly less impact because if they can't reveal, it means they don't have the same spell in hand.Sporegorger_Dragon wrote: ↑2 years agoMust...resist...

reminds me of Settle the Wreckage but seems like, way worse, since you have to sac your own guys. The cheaper cost doesn't really mitigate; the only time it's good is if you're getting completely clapped and need a fog + board wipe.spacemonaut wrote: ↑2 years agoMutual Settlement

I like the flavour mirroring. I somewhat like it and it can play interesting politics in multiplayer. There definitely has to be a less clunky way to word that first ability though.chetoos wrote: ↑2 years agoColonel Worf

I don't understand the part about the second clause?? It's "for the rest of the game", so with this thing around you must have a card with exact same mana cost in your hand/graveyard as back up or else you might lock yourself out of a key card.NinjaCaterpie wrote: ↑2 years agoYeah, this is... something. Imagine casting Cruel/Emergent Ultimatum and then locking yourself out of your win condition. Or even locking yourself out of your commander.
