I arrived home to find my internet out but the travel through the nexus is done.
The theme was: News from Tarkir where the old ways of the clans are being revived.
I love Tarkir so seeing all of this was a treat.
Sagharri / Fate Breakdown: Nice flavor: "you can't hide the traces of the past forever."
NinjaCaterpie / Collapsing Timestreams: Nice flavor here too.
mellifluoresce / Siege Rhino: [indecipherable screaming]
ApocalypseChive / Blade of the Hidden Scale: I think you've used all three kinds of hybrid costing in one card which isn't great aesthetics (I don't think there's a fourth?) but the flavor and function are sweet.
Subject16 / A revolting cycle: These are marvelous. They fit the identity of the respective factions and the khans/dragons options represent how those sides would be fighting. Making these enemy colored was a good choice too.
NinjaCaterpie / Hunted Armorsmith & inventions: Beautiful callback and the inventions are fabulous.
chetoos / Resurgence cycle: Beautiful work. Some of these effects are undercosted (I'm looking at Sultai and Mardu Resurgence especially) but I love what's going on here.
void_nothing / Ebondart Rider: Great work. Might be crazy good, but that's something to figure out in playtesting.
MergatroidJones / Kolaghan's Downfall: I was hoping to see a moment like this captured in a card, nice one. I think the rider would've been more satisfying if it only responded to removing a dragon, since just one token feels pretty underwhelming by comparison.
ForestsCarl / Sidisi: Nice overall direction. The triggered ability feels a bit clunky, and is probably more powerful than it should be (you'll almost always hit that trigger).
Cards5000 / Unceremonious Execution: Shiny and very on-theme for Mardu.
Henlock / Jeskai Lecture: Also shiny. Should probably cost a lot more than just .
avatarz / Weeping Bell: I like the flavor direction, but this is going to be hard to use well: the tapdown would be most impactful before combat but the condition is most likely to have occurred after combat.
Cythare / Gotta Go Fast: I love and hate that this is actually a perfectly viable card on top of the joke. (In reality it'd be creating red Goblins though, right? ... Right?)
mellifluoresce / Citadel Stockpile: The image of Abzan stockpiling the corpses is a bit gruesome but otherwise this is sweet. Outlast on an artifact (or at least, this one) works surprisingly well.
Quality rather than quantity gets you over the finish line, but coincidentally the winner had both.
Winner: Subject16

Draft my cube! (630 cards)
Okay, let's get on this:
Stapler: Motors are an interesting subtype to introduce (I'm sure it's for the motorcycling pun for anything else), and I think that the cycling aspect is what pushes this card for uncommon. Not a bad card overall.
chetoos: This reminds me of the forerunner cycle. These all seem pretty balanced except for the Pirate one, 2 damage to a creature for each Pirate you play is too strong I think.
mellifluoresce: I like the design behind this. The name is perhaps a little two goofy for it to be realistic, but cycling for a cycling card is something I quite like the idea of.
Ink-Treader: A colorshifted Tempest Caller is interesting, especially because you don't imagine fish to be white. The flavour behind catcycling is fantastic because you're literally feeding them.
NinjaCaterpie: This would be very interesting if there were more Assembly-Workers out there. I suppose you get Changeling creatures and do something fun there. It's a fun card that supports a niche tribe. I'd be happy to see this printed.
Cythare: Anything that helps Curses is welcome in my book. I do feel however that because it's such a niche archetype/deck style you could afford to your have your spell gain X life as well.
Got some solid designs here, but I'm giving the win to Mellifluoresce. HMs to Ink-Treader for flavour.
Next: thank u, next (I have no idea what this refers to please elaborate Melli)

Thank you, it was supposed to be a nod to the forerunner cycle. The current pirate one deals 1 damage to an opponent, and the red one deals 1 damage to all creatures, so I felt a shock was appropriate, especially since you couldn't tutor for pirates with them on the field.
