A great lance lies piercing the dragon's pure silver heart. You know who the lance belonged to.

Alcorion's Lance
Artifact — Equipment (R)
Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has lifelink.
Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, you may unattach Alcorion's Lance. If you do, exile that creature, then return it to the battlefield at the beginning of the next end step.
Equip

Continue: Your mind wanders to thoughts of the lance's previous wielder, and his final message to you before setting out on your quest.
Turn back: Break the lance, letting out a torrent of arcane energy as you mourn the fallen hero.
Epicurean, EDH without Universes Beyond.

The troll spits out a highly decorated sword as it dies. It's a ceremonial blade, covered in gold and jewels. How did a troll get this?

Spit-Covered Blade
Artifact - Equipment
Equipped creature gets -1/-1 and deathtouch

"How absolutely disgusting. Now your hands are all covered in spit and mucus, and who knows what else. Go clean your hands, I'll wait, then we can continue your tale."
—A very grossed out narrator

Continue: You inspect the blade closely. You can smell the orc on it, in all of its gross intensity. Yet, after an excruciatingly long period, though you will never be able to get the scent of it out of your nose, or your mouth for that matter, you recognize the sword.

OR

Turn Back: You pick up the blade and instantly regret it. After tossing the blade to the ground with a loud *thunk,* you make your way to a nearby stream and soak your hands for so long that you can no longer recognize your hands through their wrinkles. After finishing drying your poor, poor hands, you look around, realizing you have no clue where you are.
