I'm not sure if this is the best execution, but I really like the idea of a legendary phoenix that gives you value when a phoenix leaves your graveyard. I think having a general that rewards you for doing what the tribe is most famous for would be really fun. Extra combats might be too gauche, but even just impulsive draw or adding red mana might be a cool payoff for this guy.
