brutal card in legacy. This could swiftly kill certain decks.

I like that it scales with how much money your opponent has poured into their mana base. Despite being a collector myself, I do enjoy cards that have a metagame value of sticking it to the man.

one of the most efficient white removal spells. Although during a practice game I lost after forced to stp a marit lage token. Had no choice at that time as I already used pte on another token. Opponent was able to come back into the game from the extra 20 life. Fun times. :p

24 Years later, and it's still one of the best 2-drop land fetches.
It's hard to argue against Sakura-Tribe Elder being an overall better card, but no other 2-drop straight fetcher surpasses it.
That's a strong standing for a perfectly balanced common that's seen two dozen printings.
To the beaten, the broken, or the damned; the lost, and the wayward: wherever I may be, you will have a home.

When I first started playing, I actually played Untamed Wilds. I remember this getting printed, and my brain exploding.

In general I think rampant growth effects are overplayed. They are fairly decent. nature's lore is very nice from a tempo perspective but I rarely go into farseek/etc.

I think it's really easy to get caught up in these cards and not hit your land drops. Same as Talismans really. If you don't have 3 lands and a 4-drop this card is not doing anything an extra land wouldn't on turn 3 and 4, and it's taking up your turn on turn 2.

They serve a purpose but you need to really understand what you're trying to do with the extra mana when.

sylvan scrying wins this spot everytime where it can unless it cant, then there is rampant growth.

they could print this over and over again and I don't think people would complain. its the status quo

I like the design and it clearly wants to play with Proliferate, but... 5-mana buy-in is super bleh. This should have probably been costed at 3ish mana.

If you're dying to have this kind of effect where you want to Proliferate the counters for value, you could probably get further with something like Firemind's Research, Sunset Pyramid, or anything that gets counters and Soul Diviner.

im sorta getting og fire elemental art vibes with this art.

additionally that second line of text allows for seemingly powerful cards to not be as powerful. since blue cant have strong creatures, that's a green thing.

in sealed though I think your glad to have a couple of these cause they do work.

scathe zombies
this card has a funny spot within the game. super iconic black creature, that is if you were around since the beginning. yet, its no bear.

master healer
I don't see this as a rare. I don't see this as a powerful card. I think its because the casting cost is outrageous. it makes sense that the "healer" would be holding a plant. this card just is what it is.

kami of false hope
I could go on and on about kamigawa. yes, im that guy, the "kami" would be one of my selling points in going back. this card in particular always fancied me. I enjoy a 1/1 for 1 with a late game use. I really like the design of this card. lets go back to kamigawa too

One of the few Kamis I can tolerate. Kamis and Eldrazi being my all time least liked flavors of creatures. The art isn't too wacky and the ability (and the fact that it's a usable) helps.
