this Firewalker blows about twenty years of common creatures at that casting cost out of the water and ends up being totally unremarkable anyway, it's sorta funny. no haste, the ability costs mana, so it's a limited card, but in the early years of Magic it'd be such a sick chase card - 3/2 for 3 with an ability that lets you play land or blast spells off the top of your deck would have been great in all the aggro decks. now it's chaff. kinda weird

Just a depressing compromise between Brute Force and Rouse the Mob. Unless yr after tricks, just about all of these ability-granting effects in red bow down to Footfall Crater, a fairly underrated card imo

So I was playing in a Janky cube ages ago and this was one of the cards in it that i just never realized was a card. it was amazing in that limited setting and I could easily see a fun top deck control Blue weenies deck that would use this to a great extent in a casual 60 card deck

Corpse Knight is a fine card, but the best part about it is the misprinted version that's a 2/3.

would have been amazing as 2/3, because just one lord would have put him to 4 toughness. Good card in my casual pioneer knights deck.
